I can't find my instructions manual and it suddenly switched from variable wattage mode where I could choose 30w or 50w or whatever I want and now no matter what I press it only gives me the option of min, soft, normal, hard, or max. I fool around with buttons and it can switch to temp mode or back to watt mode where it's only labeled presets, not actually giving me control of the watts. I woke up one day and it was stuck like this. If anybody knows how these things work and how I can return to actual variable watts instead of the presets that would be great. Also information on how I can hook up to updates or even use the bluetooth would be greatly appreciated. I use the tornado nano on it at but it no longer shows me volts, amps, or ohms. The screen is constantly dark unless I'm switching between aforementioned min-max settings. It used to tell me all the pertinent information like battery life all the time and now it's just dark. Help please, I'm technologically lost. A bit young to be passed by in modern times but I have to admit to being a caveman still eating mammoths and drawing cave art and baffled by all these shiny new toys.

and lastly on the topic of tornado nano's, (a tip) excellent flavor, but it is the ....tiest thing to take apart to clean or build or wick I have ever used. I would not recommend it if you're not an extremely complacent and delicate and gentle person. Already broke one glass tank and now using the complementary dark one so now I have the disadvantage of not seeing how much juice is left until I get that delicious burnt taste that we all love and live for.

ramble over, cheers, thanks.

Alas, I am rather like you when it comes to electronics, I wouldn't have the faintest idea, except that I might watch an online tutorial/review where it actually demonstrates the settings. It may have come with just the wattage adjustment and you may have accidentally hit a button that brings you to the presets-- I might choose "normal" and see if it will return you to wattage mode, possibly? It may be something super simple, I find demos easier to deal with than user manuals, sometimes. YouTube actually being useful, which is how I best like my YouTube videos....

Best of luck, hope someone with more experience can come along and solve this for you!

Actually... the "normal" is the middle of a 5-level 2 second initial power adjustment (IPVs have something similar).

Going back a ways... the SMOKs have a separate "presets" mode which lets you jump the power quickly 10 watts per click, or rather... have a small number of them preset at various levels "on the 10s". That sounds more like it... yeah, that's the ticket. :)

But I haven't touched my xCube II in a couple years and don't recall the menu system (it's very full featured and damned complex, for that era), so I can't say offhand how to get in, or out, of that mode. Sorry.

If the manual really can't be found online, then I agree... find a YouTube vid. ;)

eta: A quick search found no Mini manual, but the xCube II Quick Start shows 16 (yes, sixteen  ) wattage levels in "Memory" mode.
You want to go into the menus and change from that to either "Watt Mode" or "Temp Mode".
Simples. :p
