Hi,

I just bought a smoke 51 on Thursday and have a few questions for anyone that has ever tried one or just knows about them. How long does the battery last after fully charged. I charged one last night and smoked a couple puffs before I went to bed and got up today and I couldn't get it to produce any vapor.

What is the proper way to smoke these? Long inhalations soft inhalations? Hard inhalations. I have had varying results but nothing consistent.

One of the batteries yesterday stopped working completley after I took it off of the charger. I called the tobacconist that I bought it from and am going in to exchange the whole kit today but are there lots of problems with these?

Also before e smoking i smoked american spirit or Nat sherman cigarettes, what kind of cartridge should I be using. Right now I use a 12 mg. And how long should they last. I put one on the battery at 1 am and replaced it the following day about 33 hours later.

Thanks guys for any help you can provide.

Evidently the Smoke51 is an e9 system...that's the battery type. The Smoke51 trio is an RN4081 system, and is considered the better of the two. I had another e9 PV (GreenSmoke), and had similar issues with it. If this is the Smoke51 2-piece system (batt + cartomizer) I am afraid they tend to be pretty unreliable, and it was relatively soon with mine that the batts couldn't be charged. The trio actually enjoys a considerable following here:

RN 4081 *Super Mini* - E-Cigarette Forum

So if you have that, you can get more info. If you have the regular Smoke51, I would recommend returning it for a refund, and getting something better for cheaper, like a KR808d-1:

KR808D-1 Mini e-Cigarette Starter Kit [KR808D-1] - $39.50 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

This is if you like the cartomizer system. Others here may have better advice, but Smoke51 does not have a great reputation as a PV, mainly for reasons you are complaining about.

The Kr8 model is now sold by many suppliers and often under different brand names. The following are the U.S. suppliers (and names they use) that I have dealt with:

  • Vapor4Life (Vapor King) has the greatest selection of cartomizers (flavors and nicotine levels) and batteries (three lengths and many colors), but is one of the priciest (including $7 shipping). [However, if you are “SMILIN” when you place an order, you’ll receive 10% off. During the month of May, coupon code "ROCKSTAR" will get you 15% off.]
  • NHaler (KR808D-1) also has a large selection of cartomizers (and adapters) and is a bit less expensive (although the shipping cost also is high). [When you order from New Jersey-based NHaler, remember that you can “SAVEinNJ” – also 10%.]
