I can't even imagine the 80's without his movies. Graduated high school in '86 and those movies helped me realize I wasn't the only weirdo on the planet

. It took me months of talking to get my son to watch Breakfast Club when he was about 13 and full of that "I'm the only one who feels this way" teen angst. Once I got him to sit down and watch it he was hooked. It was a great bonding experience. He and his friends still watch it on a regular basis and I get to watch it with them sometimes when they're not being too cool to hang out with mom. Another upshot is that after that when I tell him he should watch a movie and he tries to shoot me down I can say "remember when I told you to watch Breakfast Club" and he shuts up and takes my advice. Wish that worked on other things
