lemon basil...intriguing! I'd try that!!! Well, I started with a disposable to give it a try , and then picked up a 510 kit. It was great to a degree but I was a 2PAD smoker for 40 years and I could not get the batteries to keep up with me. A menthol smoker, I wasn't terribly fond of either prefill cartridge that came with the kit, and found other menthol fluids and cartomizers to be a better choice. I cut way back on the smokes, more than half, but not quit. After finding ECF, the appearance of my PV in relation to a cig suddenly was of no importance, satisfaction was. I purchased a Tornado kit (Ego clone) some LR cartos and some new juices and flavors to try. Much better!!! And during a killer sale I couldn't resist picking up a 1000mah USB pass-through, which is now affectionately referred to as my umbilical cord, since I am always connected to it. Had I only known. My advice now to new vapers is pick up a pass-through, a pack of LR cartos and a small variety of appealing sounding juices in small bottles to sample...can't really lose! That's not to say there aren't better combos out there but its a great jump off point!
As for fluids... I buy some juice and I DIY, but I have to confess, I have yet to find my go to flavor! I tend to gravitate to the unusual (lemon basil) and enjoy variety but my dirty little "secret" is whatever is missing is still made up for, most unfortunately, by an occasional, ahem, cigarette. I have tried snus, I have tried every combo I could think of, but other than the WTA which I have yet to try, I still suffer that daily craving. I keep hoping if I did find my go to vape that might satisfy the urge, which is why I jumped in on this thread, but since I have never "officially" quit, I probably don't even qualify to enter. But I would love to!

Both my husband and I have been pretty heavy smokers since we we're teens.:smokie: We first heard of Ecigs at the mall and first tried it there but did not jump right in and buy. Decided to do a little research watching Youtube videos and reading reviews and bought our first kit. The Ego T's. Felt they were good enough and kept us both away from analogs, but still felt it was still lacking a bit. Finally, after finding the ECF forums, which I've now become obsessed with, we got a ton of recommendations to try LR cartos and to get a Kgo with a bigger battery than just the 650mah. So we placed another order for those. That definitely was a bit better but we kept hearing all about how Mods were better and 5 volt vaping would blow our socks off, so of course we had to try that too. Now we are pretty happy with our VV lavatubes and mainly use SR Boge cartos but always looking to try the "New Best Thing". We've tried every CE2, 3, and 4, Dual coil and horizontal coils, the megas and everything in between from the XL to the XXXXL cartos, and even the new Stardusts, but still like the good old basic, SR, boge cartos best. The others have their place in our vaping lives though. As far as juices, we are still in the process of trying them all too. That too has been quite an adventure. Some good, some bad, but have found a few vaping staples and always looking for more. Vaping for me has not only taken the place of smoking those dirty, nasty analog cigarettes, but has also become a bit of a hobby. I really enjoy it a lot more than I ever did smoking. I haven't saved a dime since quitting but I may have just saved our lives, as well as improving the lives of are kids and all those around us. It's been 2 months now and neither of us have touched a cigarette since and have no urge to ever again.:toast: I'm so grateful I found ecigs as well as the ECF forums and am always looking to try new juices! Thanks for the contest!:vapor:

I first started vaping in October of 2011, while smoking natural american spirit analogs, I went down to a corner store that sold disposable e-lites e cigarettes. As I transitioned more and more to using the e-lite, I bought a nu1's disposable tobacco flavor e-cig. Whatever flavor was in there, finally got me to cut out the analogs... so to youtube I went.

I ran into ECF and noticed there were videos I kept discovering, namely of things that made little sense to me... "Cartowhatsa? Dual coil? What?"

I was planning on purchasing a Blu e-cig, because apparently it was popular and I'd seen the disposable in stores.

...then I found GrimmGreen's video reviews. Specifically, on the KGO and how he didn't need to carry a huge mod with him. I was sold, I purchased a KGO kit from Hoosier e-cig supply and haven't looked at an analog for a good while, now. I blame part of this on the effectiveness of the KGO, and also on my daily use of WTA-containing e-liquids.

I'm very glad I didn't purchase the Blu...

I vape mostly PG-based blends, but I vape VG as well. Big fan of complex juices, tropical, and tobacco flavors. The crazier the blend is, the better I enjoy it. I don't go for too many spicy flavors, but I do vape WTA quite a bit as far as juices go.

BTW, do you use diacetyl-free flavorings? Just wanting to check.

For me I went straight for an eGo kit with 900 mAh batteries and skipped right over the mini battery phase. That did it for me. Started vaping April 29th 2011 and had my last cigarette July 31st 2011. (And I didn't enjoy it either...)

Hmmm.... My only "gotcha" is I looked at your site and don't see any PG/VG options listed for your liquids. I'm PG allergic - and I do mean really allergic - so I can't play crash test dummy unless you have a 100% VG option.

That doesn't make me happy. Unfortunately all of my flavors currently use at least some PG. Unflavored liquid with all VG is simple. I'll need to figure something out for this in the future.

Do you have a hard time finding companies with all VG flavor?

I'm not sure whether I like the stories about people who are a year in or those who are a matter of days into this thing. I get really excited knowing what folks have in store. Those of you who are a month in, just wait. Two months from now you'll be hard pressed to even think about smoking an analog.

Nine days left. Keep em coming!

lolol, with the above statement not sure if I should "offer" to try your juice :)
It will be 2 yr's next month that I started vaping........started with KR808's with V4L and have never changed! Have upgraded as the newer batteries have come out and now trying the tank's. I guess I should experience juice's from other vendor's!!!!!! The new tea flavor you mentioned sounds interesting! Even though I live in western NY I AM a Southerner! So would just have to try that "sweetened tea"!!!!!!!!!! ty

Currently vaping the 36mg Mango from SmokeCignals out of an eGO Elegance Clearomizer. The aroma is solid mango. The inhale taste is mango, but the finish definitely tastes like peach. Next up is their Cherry flavor...

p.s. The 30ml bottles are nice. Brown glass, safety sealed top (similar to soda/water battle caps), AND they include rubber bulb glass dropper tops.

Sorry about the peach finish. I personally hadn't noticed it, but I'll check into what we can do to make in mango all the way around.

I started out in November 2011 with a Blu from Walgreens then upgraded to an EgoT. It was hard to put the analogs down but I finally quit on Nov 28th and haven't smoked since. I was pleasantly surprised that I no longer had the cravings for an analog. The Ego T was a miracle cure! I wanted to try a mod and my very good friend Reddhot sent me one as a wonderful surprise. It's a box mod and it works like a Lil Champ. I have been using it all the time now. I haven't saved any money...just too much fun searching for that perfect e-juice. The juices you have offered in the contest sound fantastic...especially the Tangerine Spearmint! I hope I will get to try them and do the reviews.

Thank You for the contest :)

Tonight's vape... the 36mg Cherry from SmokeCignals out of a standard eGO-W (F-1/Eliq) Clearomizer. The aroma is a nice fresh cherry. The inhale taste is a natural cherry, not Maraschino or one of the candy cherry flavors, more like Bing or Black cherry. It's cherry from start to finish, with the finish being a bit lighter than the inhale. That's good in my opinion. No strong aftertaste. Next up is their Spearmint flavor...

Only a couple of days left in this contest. If you haven't already submitted a post, there's still a little time.

Count-Thanks! I'm really glad you like the cherry. If you're a mint fan, I think you're really going to like the spearmint.

The next two flavors we're actively working on are Chai and Horchata. Two of my favorite drinks.:toast:
