I just wanted to say thanks for this forum. A couple of months ago I first heard about "vaping" and Ecigs.

I am a 39 year old 15 to 20 Marlboro lights ex-smoker.(since the age of 14).I lost my 68 year old mother to lung cancer on October 14th and she made me promise that I would stop smoking (She had stopped smoking 15 years previously) I lurked this site researching the different types of Ecigs and Ejuices. After about three weeks of trawling I had enough information to make a purchase. I made a mega order of:

I think I am ready for anything that may happen now short of nuclear war. My order arrived on the Monday the 10th and since that very day I haven't smoked a normal cigarette.last night I went for a few drinks with a smoker of 40 years and gave him a try out on my 510 and he is converted,he couldn't believe the throat hit and the flavour.

This vaping satisfies 99.9% of everything I would 3 wishes for as a safe alternative to smoking. If I could have one wish I would wish for :

1. More consistency with throat hit.
2. Longer lasting flavour and juices without having to redrip.I currently am topping up every 2 hours and I cant leave the ecig out of my hand.
   • I wish there was a way when you would know that you had smoked the equivalent of one cigarette

I have a question, I feel completely satsified with the Joye 510, but what is the EGO? The Ego seems to have better reviews than the Joye 510, If there is a better Ecig out there I want it!!!

Congrats to you and you started with a great kit! The ego is a 510 with a battery on steriods! The attys and cartridges will work on the ego without any adapters. It is not compatable with the 510 PCC or charger tho. You can get a charger adapter for it tho. With the batt life of an ego there is really no need for a pcc anyway.

First I would like to say congrats on quitting and welcome to the forum!

I would also like to offer my sympathies regarding the loss of your mother.

The battery of your 510 is like 180 mahs, the battery of the Ego is 650 mahs which means that the Ego will last a lot longer on it's battery then your 510 will.

I have an Ego and love it! I think it would be an excellent choice for you! You can also purchase mega 510 carts and attys and it will hold more juice.

WOW Dude Von D! Impressive order. I think you will be set for a while. Congratulations on your dive in to the vaping pool. I smoked for 21 years and quit the day my ecig arrived. You will figure the best technique/liquid/etc. that will give you the consistent TH you are looking for. It takes a little time to sort everything out. I have he Tornado which is the same as the eGO. This would be a good "move up" down the road.

Some advice. Keep up with this forum and keep posting your successes. It's like AA for smokers.

One question I need clarified:

I have the Mega batteries and they are "goodish"...Am I correct in my understanding that there also exists "Mega" cartridges, I think I have only the "normal" size cartridges. A man could be considered a wealthy man if he could get his hands on one of these mega cartridges.......

has anyone yet tasted a true tobacco flavored juice? every time i get close they change the flavor or discontinue it. its getting very very disheartening. my old winstons always tasted like a winston. do these people making the flavors have any idea why we were so loyal to our analogs even though we knew they were killing us. i havent ordered anything in weeks because every damn cartomizer i have tasted in weeks was like smoking an inner tube. im cold turkey now, even my favorite, the watermelon, is nasty this last batch. i have about had it

Ego is a battery mod with a 510 connector

Regular 510 = 180 mah
Mega 510 = 300 mah
Ego = 650 mah

My battery mod = 2400 mah (uses an 18650 Li-ion)

There are a large number of battery mods out there. I have The Precious which can use my 18650 battery too, but is much nicer looking than my homemade box. And can go with two CR123 for a high voltage vape.

Check out the battery mods, you'll be impressed by at least one of them.

The mega atty is suppose to be a regular atty with a longer tube to fit the higher capacity mega cart.

Try a Low Resistance (LR) atty for more TH at regular voltage or step up to a high voltage mod.

Thanks..Mega cartridges and Atomizers it is. There is some learning curve with this esmoking thing. Best thing I ever did IMHO.

splunge2112 In answer to your falvour issues, I have quite a few "DF" Double flavour" Tobbacco juices and I have to say they don´t really cut it, TBH I don't really get any flavour at all.

I sincerely believe that esmoking is in its infancy,this is the best device/creation that has been concieved since Tobbaco was brought to Europe by Sir Walter Raleigh. Everyday more and more people are hearing about ecigs,this is going to Skyrocket IF the FDA and others dont suceed in banning it( Grrr...Dont start me off)

What will happen that the Rolls ROyce of ecigs will be invented, the technology is here,it just needs to be perfected..I think its 95% at the moment....

meh. i at this point, after not smoking for a while, i can taste the flavors of the garbage cartomizers. get the feeling it was all a scam, yeah i quit smoking but i am no longer getting anything from the electrics. and i still have the cravings. every flavor i have tried that i liked before i hate now. so, either they have changed them, or i can taste them now and they were nasty all along. irrespective of the truth, the i can shake the feeling that its nothing but a fad that runs off high hopes. at least 3 out of 4 people i know who have tried it are back on the analogs because of the same things i am dealing with. like the old saying goes, if its true, its not new. if its new, its not true.

I dunno, I am still to new to this. I agree on the Tobbaco Flavour issues. They can give these Double flavour juices any name they want but Double flavour of nothing is still the flavour of nothing.

A juice which I hear gets a lot of respect and recommendations seems to AC (Atomic Cinnacide) I cant say that I have tried it but I will order some out of pure curiosity.

I have to say sitting in a bar last night with a chain smoker, I gripped my Ecig like a life preserver and the intense cravings that I had at the beginning subsided. I just wish that one cartridge would keep the little bit of flavour they do have or could be made longer lasting,coupled with a consistent TH and then it will be plain sailing all the way.......

I have never found a prefilled cartridge that I could use. They were all bad.
If you want flavor you will have to fill the cartridges yourself IMHO.
The only vendor I use are Tasty Vapor and Ms Ts Bakery and some Johnson Creek.
They are USA made and have flavor that is intense. Many vendors just take the Chinese liquids and tweek them to sell them here. I cant do the Chinese liquids.
There is also the thing about losing your taste for a while, everyone goes through it, it is part of quitting cigs. and it does pass.

splunge-sorry to hear your juices are tasting bad. I went through a week period that no matter juice I used it tasted bad, but and this is a big .... for me, it still tasted better than the smokes. I was never a fan of the taste of smokes just what the smokes had in them. I smoked for 28 years 2 packs a day, so I wasn't a light smoker. I took anothe user's advice and used the saline solution nasal wash and it really helped clear my nosal passages thus improving my taste buds. Worth a shot before you give up IMHO. Good luck.

Dude, you've got the worst case of buyeritis I've ever seen. My advise to you, trivial tho it may be, is to take a deep breath and cool it. I estimate your 510 equipment will last you at most 2 months. And then you don't want to buy anymore 510 stuff except maybe attys or cartomizers. You have enough stuff to last you until you burn out the 510 and switch up to a better brand. I use a eGo with 510 attys and carts or with just the cartomizer. The eGo won't fit your PCC but I still carry a 510 pcc as backup tho rarely use it. That's just my 2 cents for ya.

Also you can swap out any of the juices you don't like her on the forum. You can also wash and reuse your blank carts so don't throw those away. The filler too.

Atomizer cleanser? Never heard of it? I use the polident method with some success.

If anything, you'll probably need attys next or you can just forget the attys and get blank cartomiz instead. I think you have enough cartridges for now.

Since you are in Spain, you might consider purchasing from Healthcabin, they have good prices.

Splunge = I was a Winston girl and nothing but, now I vape Hilton at 18 mg.

Welcome. Very nice, well thought out order for a newcomer.
Now, I whole-heartily recommend you get the Janty eGo.
I've had the mini RN4081 SmokeStiks, the M401, and the Joye 510 over the last 10 months. But the best I've had right out of the box is my eGo. I get a consistent 8 hours, and more, with each battery. You get to keep and use all your 510 atomizers and carts on the eGo. Just make sure you pick up a "super" charger for the batteries or it will take hours to charge them with the standard 510 charger.
I smoked for over 40 years and was at 2-3 packs a day when I found vaping. It's a lifesaver!

Thanks for the Tips regarding the Ego Kirssstens and cliff5550!

My thoughts were on ordering that if I was going to give this my best shot that I wasn't going to half do it.

Granted,I really do have to cool it,although I am now intrigued by the Ego and I have heard (Although I may be mistaken that you can get mega atomizers and mega cartridges that hold more E juice liquid)

Currently, I take the filler out of a blank cartridge and cut it in half and drop approx 10 drops in to the cartridge and the plug the end with one half of the filler) That seems to give me constant hits for approx 8 drags then things kind of wane out. I really don't want to go through a more fiddly cartridge mod as I want to make this as simple as normal cigarettes were.
