I got my Blu on Oct 9th. But what I did was call and actually spoke to someone and made them check inventory to see what was backordered. I ordered online on a thursday at 4pm, and had the package in my mailbox 2 days later. But thats just my experience so far.

I was a 3/4 to 1 pad smoker and a flavor cart last me about a day or so. The batteries last me about a day also, sometime a little less. But the blu is a great starter pv. That's my opinion though. :)

So, I have a Blu and a 510, and I still use both. I mostly use my 510 because it doesn't need to be refilled as often, and the batteries last longer. However, I still find myself going back to my blu because it just tastes better. The 510 pretty much just burns the flavor away. Yes, the blu is overpriced, but there is nothing wrong with the unit itself. It works just fine when you use it properly. I wouldn't recommend it for anybody who smokes more than a pack a day though.

I completely agree with you. I also started with a BLU, and it got me off cigarettes, and now I have a Joye 510 as well. I use the 510 at home and take the Blu pack along with me whenever I leave. I love the classic tobacco flavor that Blu has.

I tried a 510, and I agree that the flavor isn't the same as my 901. I didn't like the 901 on anything other than a mod(battery modification) though. I might give the 510 another go, as I now have a mod that comes equipped with 510 threads. I, just like almost everyone here started with a cig sized ecig. I think it's almost like punishment trying to get a good drag off of one every time lol. Do yourself a favor and get a decent sized battery. Makes life much easier, and you'll get over it not being the size of a real cig rather quickly. Especially when it hits like a train every time you use it. Good luck.

I started with Blu. Bought a rebranded eGo package before the original Blu carts were used up - for all of the reasons previously mentioned, particularly the manual batts... But I still use the Blu whenever I need to vape hands free. It's light enough to tooth-hold while I'm using both hands on a project or while I'm cooking, etc. I BFM'ed all of the original Blu carts and fill them with whatever...

Get 306 cartos. They fit nicely on the blu and perform much much better than the blu atty/ cart set up.

Blu was my first e-cig as well, and I have to say I was really disappointed. I tried to stick with it and give it a chance, but the vapor was unimpressive, didn't "feel" like smoking, battery life was beyond bad, parts failed...and on top of all of that, the customer service I got from Blu was just awful. I got the feeling that they could not care less about their customer...but that's a rant for another time. Eventually I wised up, got a KR808 and started refilling my own carts...now I'm much happier and it's tons less expensive...oh, and I'm analog free for almost 3 months now!

I know 510 models get a lot of praise here in the forum, but I have found better results (taste and vapor) from the 4081(smoke stick model) and less of that nasty burned plastic taste 510 is known for. If you are going for the Blu style I would highly recommend you look into Volcano (same model) instead, they have better customer service and fast shipping. I tried Blu in the beginning myself, and found slow response time from them as well as more problems with bad batteries. Smoke Stick is a good company as well. Ego is a great battery for long term use, and it uses 510 parts, it does not look like a cigarette. You can get adapters to use any parts together.

When we first looked into vaping, we checked out Blu and GreenSmokes. Stupid us went with GS because of the vapor production. What we didn't understand then was battery life in relation to how much we smoked. We were pack to pack and a half per day smokers. GS got us down to half a pack per day, but it just wasn't enough to make us put down analogs completely. The battery life was pathetic and the cartos weren't of the best design. Some of them were stale, too. We ended up buying juice to refill the cartos until we got our eGo's, and sent the GS back for a refund. I can only imagine the same thing would've happened with Blu.

For us, it all boiled down to this; Function over looks, price over style. The eGo fits us perfectly and both of us are now smoke free.

My recommendation.. Smokestik for the times you want something that looks like a cigarette ( their batt's are actually pretty good compared to other 4081 batteries)
You have the option between using the carto's or atty (the atty's are available at quite a few places quite cheaply, they are 4081's) and pick up a 510 to 4081 adapter and 2 ego batt's. You have all bases covered with that setup.
I actually use the 4081 atty with a adapter on a KR8 battery (for the cig look with a manual battery which I like better) or my ego.

That's what it's all about in my book. If someone finds something that works for them, then great. But then they need to question how long they can keep it working, and at what cost(money, and time messing with it). I approach ecigs like a tool now. I feel like what I have now is a Dewalt compared to the stuff I used to use to just get by lol.

We just felt like tools after spending all that money on GS. We're so glad to have found ECF, because the eGo has been our redemption.

Greensmoke is what I found before I got on ecf as well. Overpriced, and decent function at best lol. But I do credit GS with getting me off of the analogs. I had the same prob with all of the cig sized ecigs I tried. It was like trying to suck an ice cube through a slurpee straw trying to get a satisfying drag off of one imo.

Hello, I'm new to the site and I just quit smoking, its been 2 weeks now.
I bought the blu because a friend told me it was one of the best and because of the flavors; I'm very disappointed because it just don't work, it doesn't vapor the way I want to or need to and I only get a few good hits, the only thing I really like is the flavor, I use menthol and tobacco with nicotine. and another friend give me the e cig from fresh smoking, the fs-pharaoh-m401, it works well and create a good vapor, the only thing that I just don't like is the flavor of the Marlboro med., its horrible, I don't know if it's my taste buds or what.
I've reading that if I change the atomizer for a 510 it will work a lot better and I can still use the cartridge from blu, is that correct?
Or if you recommend me another ecig that has a good performance and taste I appreciate it.
Also about the ego are the flavors cartridge good?

You can get ejuices from lots of different companies. Taste vary from person to person, so calling one the best flavor is hard to do. Your best bet would probably be to get an ego, and then maybe get a few sampler packs of ejuices and try them out. Welcome to the forum by the way. You may also want to check out Mistress Nomad's vid's for newbies. It helps out a bunch of people.

Hi, wantto!

You have to buy the juice flavors you want with the eGo. You can get some prefilled cartridges, but most of the time, they suck. There are lots of great juice vendors out there. My favorites are VaporBomb and Gourmet Vapor. You should probably watch Mistress Nomad's videos so you can get a better idea of what the good hardware choices are.

I, too, went with the Blu. As I have said before it was sorta Karma like. I hadnt had it a week before I got an ego. Like all have said, bat life, vapor were all issues. As a 2 pack a day smoker, I needed more. Now I love the Blu, the CT flavor is wonderful! The one flavor I got with the ego isnt that great and isnt high enough in nic to "do the trick". My GormetVapor order for more isnt here yet. I have only been vaping for a little over a week, but have saved a carton and a half so far, so I paid for the Blu.

I see the Blu will have a place; out to dinner it seems easier to explain (cause it looks like a cig) than my ego, which looks like a "one hitter".

I am happy to have the ecig and to have found this forum!

I hope my new juice will give a more satisfying vapor and nic hit...I really want/need to be analog free.

Actually, the eGo might be easier to explain than something that looks like a cigarette. People are funny creatures and inclined to believe the strangest things. I think they'd believe that the eGo is not producing smoke and is actually a PV more than the Blu. If it looks like a cigarette, people will assume it's a cigarette.

I personally started out with the Blu and moved recently to the Joye eGo for one reason. The Blu just could not get me off of cigarettes. It's inconsistent in vaping, unsatisfying, and the battery life is extremely terrible. .

That's my experience, too. It's the inconsistency, the first hit off a fresh cartridge with fully charged battery, I thought to myself, "I could live with this." But sometimes it seems the whole thing poops out right after that! So much for saving money over analogs. I'm buying something new this afternoon, after I peruse a little more.
