I have a Magneto and I'd love to see a picture of that setup!
Sorry, I just saw your post and I'm sure you know what it looks like on your Magneto by now, lol.
I didn't even try the prebuilt coils it came with. They looked kinda scary, lol.
I have tried everything from twisted micro coils to sub ohm macro coils in my caterpillar, and I have found that what seems to work best is the old tried and true dual micros.
I also found that 28g seem to work best. Every variation of twisted coils I tried had that initial "pop and spit". They work great, but I just found it annoying.
A single micro worked great as well, but the expansion chamber is so large that duals produced better flavor.
I have gone through a TON of wire trying to find the right build for it and have settled on dual micros wound on a 1/16" drill bit, 28g, and about 9 wraps each for about .6 to .8 ohm total resistance, with just enough cotton wick to make good contact with the deck.
I found no benefit to go any lower on resistance, or any additional wick. Additional wick simply wasted liquid. I also run the adjustable airflow wide open.
I also use AW IMR batteries. I just keep my builds WELL within their tolerances. My research showed their composition to be the safest, but opinions vary widely on that subject.
I will gladly post pictures of the various builds I have tried if you like, but like I said, it's a basic dripper that works best with a simple build.
With simple dual micros, that are properly wicked and saturated, my caterpillar gives a quiet, smooth, VERY flavorful vape.
I can't really recommend a build for TH as I drink mass quantities of coffee and I can drip 24mg and still not get much of a throat hit,

.
I love my caterpillar, even though I could've gotten it much cheaper online, but I chose to support one of my local B&M's that has been very good to me.
If I can help more in any way, feel free to post or PM me; I'll do my best to help.
There are a lot of good people here with a lot of knowledge they're willing to share. Sometimes it can take a little time to get help, but it's worth the wait.
