Smoketech RSST questions

Hi all, I just finished building my first coil on a RSST. I have no hot spots and coil isn't glowing when tank is full like it should be. But, I noticed coil is glowing between the negative screw and my ss mesh wick. Is that normal? Oh, also, can anybody tell me what size ss cable to use on RSST for wick? Thanks

Take something like a tiny screwdriver and push into the coil at the bottom, wrapping it closer to the wick before it jumps off to the screw, then adjust the wraps up and down, it should work out.
