I just purchased the SmokeTip and I keep reading praise about the new revision of the KR808D-1, the MaxxFusion that Bloog carries. Is there any chance my new SmokeTip is the same new revision or is it worth checking out the MaxxFusion? Has anyone compared the two and noticed a difference?

FYI, I purchased the SmokeTip for the reliability of the battery, the real-life feel and the warranty. I don't really want to sacrifice any of that except for the real-life feel as I've realized it's not really necessary anymore.

yup, i believe the smoketip is a 4081 vs the bloogs kr808, I hear its still a great device, but unfortunately their cartos are very high priced and the flavors are limited. KR-808 gear is everywhere and if you prefer manual batteries than u only need the bloog cartomizers, but i gotta say that the bloogs auto switch is the best i've used

Everything I've read points to the SmokeTip being a KR808D-1, is that not correct? I'm guessing Bloog has customized their KR808 which is why the carts are incompatible. I should still be able to use the KR808 carts from Vapor 4 Life though since that's not customized, right?

Greetings, xer0. Thank you so much for asking this question. I also purchased the SmokeTip for the same reasons. I am pleased with that decision. But, like you, I would like a little more variety and would like to know if there are compatible carts from other suppliers. (Never imagined in a million years that I would be interested in FLAVORED nicotine!) I've tried refilling with e-juice and I'm not real impressed. I feel that the SmokeTip carts are reasonable and in line with everyone else, especially with free shipping. Anyway, thanks again. I will continue to watch this post to see how it develops.

Try vapor4life.com. I haven't personally tried them but they do have a greater flavor variety than smoketip.

Doing the price breakdown though, smoketips do work out to be cheaper since vapor4life charges for shipping.

Greetings MsWit! I never would have imagined it either. I find myself enjoying the flavors more than the taste of the "marlboro" taste-a-like... Good luck on your quest for some more variety! :vapor:

The Bloog is actually a kr808d1, and is compatible with other kr808d1's.

That's what I surmised, was just looking for some solid evidence before looking for accessories and cartos elsewhere. Thanks All!

Yeah, the smoketip cartos are real cheap. I'm just planning ahead for when I get sick of their selection... Like everything, I guess you have to pay a premium to really get what you want. :)

I think I'm going to try some various e-juices and filling my own, if you can get 3-4+ refills on a carto it seems like it could be more economical to refill.

I've got both Smoketip and Maxx Fusion batteries and cartos, so I can absolutely guarantee they all work together. This includes both the standard Smoketip 180 mAH battery and their 350 mAh.
I don't know what generation the Maxx Fusion battery is, but it does seem to be "enhanced". First, it seems to work much more consistently until it needs to be recharged - meaning I can't tell whether it's freshly recharged or if I've been using it a while. Second, it seems to turn on faster when I take a 'puff', and seems to turn off faster when I finish inhaling.

That's just the info I needed. Thx!

Nope, the SmokeTip is absolutely a KR808d-1 and I have so far successfully used them with KR808d-1 parts and cartos from other vendors. The SmokeTip batteries are impressive, the automatic switch is superb (though I think that is true in general of all KR808d-1's). Also, their lifetime warranty is impressive.

I disagree with the statement that their cartos are expensive. At $17.95 per 10, and free shipping, I haven't found them cheaper anywhere else. But you are correct that their flavor choices are limited. I have been expanding my flavor choices mainly through refilling the cartos.
