In the interest of full disclosure:

This video is the result of an email exchange in which the reviewer demanded a refund of his money and threatened to post a negative review of our liquids because we wouldn't give him the $18 - intimating that if we paid him, he wouldn't post a negative review.

We don't pay anyone off for good reviews or to prevent bad reviews, and this was no exception. So, while everyone is entitled to their own opinion on our e-Liquids, and certainly some people legitimately don't like some of our flavors (heck, even I don't enjoy every flavor), there are some ethical questions regarding this reviewer.

The actual text of the email exchange is floating around (on other forums). Luckily, ECF rules do not permit direct quotations, so this rather tame synopsis is all I am permitted to post here.

lol... I dont usually watch the video reviews for liquids but I couldn't resist this one...

My question is.. who tries 4 different flavors on the same atty in 9 minutes? Really? 3-4 drops and 2-3 drags. My guess is that "maybe" by the 4th flavor, he finally vaped throught the 1st.

Taste is subjective anyway. I wouldn't worry much if at all about this guys review.

OK folks, looks like this is what we have here.

A member buys some liquids which he doesn't like (happens every day, doesn't it?)

The member tells the supplier if he doesn't get a refund for the juice, he'll give a bad review.

Now here's where the issue comes in. Had the member just made a negative review, the other members here would have viewed it as they would any other. The fact that the reviewer made it sound like a threat if he didn't get his refund is where the question of ethics come in.

I am curious...do other reviewers do this? I hope when I watch a review it is an honest opinion and they are made whether the product is good or bad....and not because there is some perk for doing so (or as in this case, not doing so).

We really don't want this to turn into a 'Smokie bashfest'. I think the thread speaks for itself. However, I will leave it open for now in case the OP wants to come in and perhaps offer some explanation. Afterall, this board is here to hear both sides of the story if the involved parties would like to comment.

No response from the OP in a reasonable amount of time and the thread will be closed. Each one of you can then draw your own conclusions.

OK, I'd like to add something else here.

As far as I know, MOST suppliers do not refund on juice because a customer doesn't like it. I mean really....imagine if they did? Who here hasn't bought a juice they didn't like? So should thousands of purchases be returned for such a reason? The suppliers would go broke!

I mean, what would they do with them all? Try to resell them? How could they do that once they've been opened and in someone else's possession? That would just be crazy business. I've seen suppliers replace bad batches but really, trying to get a refund on a juice because you don't like how it tastes just sounds a bit illogical to me.

I agree 100%.

I have given reviews of juice I did not like, but was honest about how the juice was. There are a lot of juices I thought where good, but I did not like them, my tastes are different then someone else's. That doesn't make the juice bad, just means it is not for me!!

Really people, just because you don't like the flavor of a juice does not make it bad. It is just not for you. But rate the juice and the flavor separate.

It would not matter if I used a new atty for each, I would get the same results, because I vaped them before the review with 4 different attys, should of mentioned that in the review. And if you do not believe me then go buy the juice
Also you would think after mixing all 4 juices that I would get some kind of flavor, but none.

Your almost Right, I Tried these juices the day I received them, and they Sink, so I wrote to you the maker of the stinkie juice and told him his juices stink, and that I should be refunded, he said NO, in that case I will have to do a review on them before I throw them in the garbage. He is RIGHT about one thing, if he allowed me to send them back for a refund there would of been no video review, only a WRITTEN stinkie review. Now this guy is following me, that is telling me he is worried, and he knows the juice he sent me Stinks. If this guys juice was any good, or even slightly good he would not be following me, or worried like that. WOULD YOU WANT TO PAY FOR GARBAGE, GARBAGE IS FREE! Or buy a good Steak at the supermarket, and after you cook it, it taste funny, now do you go back and ask for a refund, or suck it up to experience. My money is you go back for a refund, and tell all your friends, and neighbors about it. This was not about not liking the flavor, it was about NO flavor, and I did NOT say if you do not refund me I will do a review. Never mention that when asking, I did the review after his reply about the refund. It is not the refund, but the customer service I was looking for. Forums say some of he's other flavors are good.

Threatening to give a supplier a bad review if they don't offer a refund for something they don't normally offer refunds for is a form of extortion, and it's not something I'm going to look kindly on here. I've seen the email exchange between the two parties involved.

I am closing this thread. The only reason I am not deleting it is to let the OP and others be aware that in the future, such behavior will seriously jeopardize their accounts on this forum.

As previously stated, it is one thing to post a bad review of something you don't like, and quite another to threaten a supplier with a bad review if you don't get something from them, even if you don't follow through with it.
