I recently purchased an authentic Billet Box that I luv, luv, luv.

A young guy, new vaper, that works with my husband really liked it and wanted to order one. For what ever reason (price, availability ....) he decided to buy a clone from China. Now he's having to jump through hoops to get it because the vendor listed it as a "Smoking Cessation device" on the customs forms. Is that common?

I had no problem at all receiving my Billet Box, surely because it said 'Billet Box' on the customs forms. I don't understand why a Chinese company would even think to list their products that way. They can't possibly know if people plan to quit smoking with them. Yes many do, but there are lots who don't also.

Hopefully he'll get it eventually but what a hassle, for nothing.

Yes, it's Focalecig.

I encouraged him to email them and explain the complications. He's had to fill out a "One Time Power Of Attorney" doc and email it back to the shipper and wait "a few days" to hear from them. He'll have to pay some customs fees, which happens here sometimes, but he was assured that he would receive it. I hope that's true.

My fear is that it might be new requirement for vendors who are exporting e-cigs? I'm sure that wouldn't be good.

Update:

In an email, Focalecig says that this was done without their knowledge, by the "shipping agent", and that they would NEVER label any of their products that way. They extended apologies and state that they intend to investigate further and take preventative measures for future.

Of course this doesn't help the buyer in this case. He still has a 48 - 72 hour waiting period to find out if he will receive his device, but at least they seem aware that this is bad practice and not a new requirement.

Oh Ya, our glorious FDA would`nt want anyone to know they actually WORK as a legitimate SCD, no sir re. That is simply not true!

Its sad for your friend, but in China, they are considered and sold as a SCD. Only here where we let our Glorious Leader do our thinking for us are they not considered a SCD.

"F" the FDA!

PS, Iv quite smoking with vaping and I would recommend it to any FREE thinker as a legitimate means of getting rid of the cancer sticks.
