Hey all,
I was wondering if there is a listing of scam companies on the board??
I have been having issues with smoking-everywhere.com all day and it just got worse. Much worse.
After everything else, they just called me (I thought it was in relation to my previous talks with them - still waiting for a supervisor to call me). It was a sales rep. A nice girl by the way ...
Anyways, the purpose for the call was to inform me that the product I had purchased was out of stock and so they decided to ALLOW me to upgrade to the gold starter package for the price of $20, HOWEVER ... the gold starter kit only comes with a single battery so it is recommended that I buy a second battery as well (another $39.99).
Let me stop right there and explain something:
The 2.0 starter package I ordered costs $89.99.
The gold starter package costs $99.99.
Anyone with a basic grasp of math can look at this and see the initial problem!!!
I told her I wasn't interested in the gold starter kit and asked when the next shipment of 2.0 product would be in and ready to ship out. I quote her reply: ""I was told that it would be a very, very, very long time and that we cannot put a date on the arrival of that shipment so it is suggested that you upgrade to the gold starter package for $20"".
Yes, she said 'very' three damn times. Yes, she then tried to sell me the upgrade for more than a direct price difference in packages.
After many demands by me to speak with her supervisor, she finally said that she would have to call me back and that she would have her supervisor on the line when she did so. I asked how long it would be (since we have been waiting for a supervisor to call ALL day already), and she assured me that she would call back in 5-10 minutes top.
An hour later, she called back. Her supervisor was unavailable (again - this man has more meetings than anyone I have ever heard of), but she had spoken with him and they were working to resolve my problem. She then, I swear to god, offered me the gold starter kit 'upgrade' for $20! When I told her no, she then informed me that the 2.0 series was being discontinued and that I would not be able to get replacement parts or cartridges for it ... all in an attempt to persuade me to just freaking upgrade!!
My wife has gotten home and she called ... she actually got to the supervisor (after getting hung up on several times). He told her that he had to get all the records pertaining to our account and that he would call her back immediately. She has called back and spoke with him twice ... both times he has swore that he is searching for our 'records' and that he will call her right back.
We are still waiting ...
