A lot of people have bought the SE before they knew the actual prices. Don't dwell on it. You have it. If it's the SE Gold, you can keep it running rather inexpensively. You'll probably be like most, and eventually move on to something else, but in the meantime, it's not a bad little e-cig.

The SE Gold is a model RN4081. The parts are inexpensive if you check out the suppliers here. If you have questions about it, there is a Forum dedicated to that model.

I bought one while waiting on my 510 because my other ecig, Green Smoke came with leaky carts I couldnt use. I do not like the way it tastes... those pre-filled carts are horrid to me and they dont have enough throat hit or vapor for my taste. It did keep me from snapping off anyones head til my 510 arrived though :p very expensive to keep buying the carts, they do not last near as long as advertised... and yes, they do rip people off big time!! I love my 510 and it was less than half the price of that SE

I also got the SE gold over in maui on vacation. they were the forst e cig i ever seen and had to get one at "only" $130. but you know what i been vaping the crap out of it for 5 months with no probs. I have a few other e cigs now (801,901) but still SE gold is a beast that wont die!!!!!! I just know next time that the rn4081 is the model number and you can get it for around 30 bucks!!!!!! Although im wondering is smokingeverywhere has better quality parts in there thus the so much higher price?!?!?!?!?

I cant speak for Smoking Everywhere, but my Npro ($80.00) was basically a RN4081 with a higher pricetag.
I will say that it seemed better constructed though. The atomiser fit of the Npro atomiser was SUPERIOR to a $30 kit I bought for spare parts. The Npro carts seemed better than some generic ones I found that were black in color (they cracked easier but were SOOO much cheaper i didnt care).
And Njoy does have a 1 year warranty. If you have enough atomisers crap out on you in that timeframe, you may make out.
