After reading all the replies to your post. I am axiously awaiting the outcome if your husbands first experience with his E-cig. I've been smoking since I was 17, I'm now 45 and proud to say I am now vaping and happier for it. You being a non-smoker, giving this "gift" to a hard-core smoker, he may see it as you trying to trick him into quitting.. Maybe introducing him to this forum, will help him in his process. It will let him see he is not alone. I purchased my first e-cig, but I did with the consciene decision, that if this didnt help me quit or atleast cut back then nothing would. I was hooked on my first vape. I had 8 analogs left when I got my first e-cig ( it wasnt a mall brand but one just like it the Blu). As crappy as that thing was I knew it was going to work, but I need to find better hardware if was not gonna go back to analogs. I am sooo sorry you spent so much money, but if it gets him to even cut back its was at least worth it. I would see if its something he is enjoying before you take the advise of getting a differnt style of e-cig. I finally found the right hardware a liquid for me a KR808d1. But I have also ordered the Riva510 thats been suggested for $30. I just couldnt pass up that price.
Let me also say, I have always enjoyed smoking. If it werent for the smell, and the health risks, I would still be ejoying an analog. I see it as a healthy alternative to something I really did enjoy, and as I stated earlier, I am Happy I changed. My hair, clothing, breath and house no longer smell like an old overflowing ashtray. I am wanting to actually replace every piece of furnature in my house becuase I cant seem to get the tobacco smell out. I'm actually surprised how I now hate the smell of an analog after so many years of smoking. When I'm around my smoker friends I cant stand it. I feel like I have a cloud of smoke encapulating my head. So I now feel for any non-smoker I've put through that experience. I did quit while pregnant with my children, and probably the only reason I did is because they made me sick. I even tried to continue smoking while I was pregnant but couldnt becuase I ge so sick. But as soon as those babies were out, I wanted a cig, couldnt wait to leave the hospital. But I smoked around my children even when they were babies. I did quit once for 6 years, and was so upset with myself for ever going back, and after that nothing worked until now. Just before vaping I was up to 2 to 2.5 packs a day. So don't trade him in for a new model just yet ( your husband that is LOL) If I, a die hard, do or die ex-smoker can do it, there hope for him. Good Luck to you Both, keep us abreast.
Sidenote: About the replacing the furniture, If I can stop trying new hardware, I can probably save enough money with all the money I am saving by not spending over $120 a month on analogs. Even with all the different hardware I've purchased including replacement cart and liquid. I still have not spent as much over a 3 month period as I was spending ona 1 month supply of analogs.
