I don't know if this has been posted before, however, I found this article with the positive sides of nicotine. The link at the bottom leads to a nicotine water company in California. I thought nicotine water was banned.

Smoking Facts - Nicotine Is Good For Your Health!

Don’t believe it is? Well medical research proves it is read on and find out
why.

Smoking is bad for you. We know that, it kills million however a smoking fact that is true and backed up by medical research is that nicotine in its pure form is safe, non toxic, part of the natural food chain and is good for you.

Other chemicals are the real killers.

The World Health Organization has stated that tobacco smoke contains about 4,000 chemicals, of which nicotine is just one.

Smoking means you take into your body the following poisons:

In addition to tar, carbon monoxide is present (found also in car exhaust fumes), ammonia (used in floor cleaner) and arsenic (used in rat poison).

At least 40 of the chemicals in tobacco smoke are proven to cause cancers of the lung, throat, mouth, bladder and kidneys and the smoke also causes a number of other cancers.

There is no evidence at all that nicotine can cause cancer.

Smoking fact – Nicotine in pure organic form is good for your health

Nicotine is a naturally occurring compound and part of the food chain.
Trace elements are found in many common foods including vegetables such as potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers, cauliflower, eggplant, chili peppers, and also some teas.

Nicotine makes you feel good

Nicotine switches on the receptors on the surface of cells in certain parts of the brain, causing these neurons to release the Neuro-transmitter dopamine, a chemical that is associated with feelings of pleasure.

Nicotine not only makes you feel better it helps improve concentration and memory and it is proven to help a number of conditions including:
Depression, schizophrenia, Parkinson’s diseases and attention disorder.

Drug companies are already researching drugs with nicotine in to help these conditions removed from cigarette smoking and the first one has hit the market.

Nicotine water which simply delivers nicotine in water with no added chemicals is already on the market and more products are expected to follow.

Originally aimed at smokers foe when they cant or don’t want to smoke, more people today are taking it for its potential health benefits.
Expect more products to hit the market shortly as the potential health benefits of nicotine gain wider acceptance.

Yes, let us not forget it can also cause heart disease.

Not trying to be a downer, but that is the truth.

We can sugar coat all we want, but nicotine can cause heart disease.

So does Caffeine.

Appearently, that's not completely true, according to this smoking cessession site,,, or maybe NRT nicotine is some magic form that doesn't.

Maybe people aren't taking the time to read the links I posted, but here's a quote from the second one.

Myth: Nicotine replacement products increase the risk of cancer and heart disease.

Truth

-- More than 20 years of studies have shown no increased risk of cancer or heart disease among therapeutic nicotine users.

-- More than 110 studies involving more than 35,000 participants have demonstrated the safety of therapeutic nicotine, even in populations with specific health conditions, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, lung disease, and existing heart disease.

In addition, while the risk of cancer from smoking is well established, there is no clinical evidence that therapeutic nicotine products create a risk of cancer when used as directed. Therapeutic nicotine is not associated with any increase in the risk of heart attack, stroke or death.

-- Therapeutic nicotine is a safe and effective treatment approach even in people already diagnosed with angina or with history of heart attack.

In the contrary, I've read that NRT users are less likely to stay off the analogs in the long term, and indeed the best way to quit is going cold turkey. Such stark contrast in the figures they provided with one I read before, I'm throughly confused.

I guess experts disagree,,, there's a first, huh?? I'm not a health expert, we report, you decide,,, lol.

Honestly, what doesn't cause something these days? Seems they can find cause\effect with just about anything. We are truly not safe to eat\drink\smoke, or just stand in the middle of the road. Geesh. :)

When put that way, it sure takes alot of fun out of life... lol

Yeah, but I guess we can look at that two ways. Since everything seems to cause something, why spend so much of life worrying about it all? Just live life to the fullest, Carpe Diem, that is what life should be about. :)

You are absolutely correct. Live life everyday as if it were your last. You just never know when it's your time to go. :D
