I wonder if the study identified how many of those 13,000 died from smoking related disease since, "Low levels of exposure, including exposures to secondhand tobacco smoke, lead to a rapid and sharp increase in endothelial dysfunction and inflammation, which are implicated in acute cardiovascular events and thrombosis.".

There must have been hundreds, maybe thousands, dropping over in such confined quarters for extended periods of time. The perfect ecosystem to prove the SG's report,,,,, or not.

Kudos to the Navy for at least letting individual commanders make the decision. I wonder what sort of politicking process went on, and if any of our advocates were involved.

Mmmm... our advocates had to be involved...Last I heard the military was still
on the antifreeze kick recommending those in the military not use the E-cigarette

Thanks for the post.

I'm sure a lot of submariners will try the free patch and gum but will
be envious of others enjoying a relaxing "Vapor" break & switch to E-smoking.
Well....As long as "Daddy" (the commanding officer) approves.

Hi Petrodus and all the best for the new year,

Sometimes the "Daddy' is a vaper, as in my situation. As such, I've already declared our offices to be "vaper friendly" just not in front of the 'punters' (the clients) at this stage.

I'm also currently working on a proposal that may see another 3,000 people, in this state, being able to vape in & outdoors on a government site here in Aus. A little tricky given the our federal ban on the sale of nic juice here, but not impossible. If this can be achieved in this state, it may be achievable nationally. Anyway, early stages but extremely encouraging.

As I've said before, I have the greatest respect for the work that you and others do over in the States (I won't start naming for sake of missing one!) and I constantly monitor your viewpoints and use those to my own ends here in Australia. Hope you don't mind.

I suppose all I'm saying is that sometimes Daddy is right beside you!!!

Cheers.

Happy New Year to you and all vapers in Australia

What a wonderful "Good News" post and a "heart felt" Thank You.

It's heart warming and energizing to hear success stories and
of course knowing that sometimes Daddy is standing right beside us!

Right to Vape is truly an International movement. The fight is not over
but many of us are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel...
In this case the light is coming from Australia

Happy New Year!
