Well it looks like I got suckered by this. Question though, to the companies credit they have said I can return it and get my money back or they will give me a free extra battery. different cartridge strengths, atomizers etc. Initially this was a free trial, just pay for shipping, then it showed up at charged to my card $89. And I read this stuff carefully so I don't know how that happened. It came with a battery, usb and regular charger and 25 or so pre filled cartridges at 16mg I think.

So now for the question. Should I send this all back and try to get a better deal with a better quality? I have no idea if this is good quality. The wrinkle is that I have quit regular cigs with this (4 days and counting)so if I send it back then I will be back to regular cigs. Looking at some of the price ranges for trial kits at least this does give you a lot of stuff for the $90 and maybe I could use some of it (like the usb charger) for other models.

I am mediocre on this product but am not experienced. It is not all that reliable with the amount of vapor you can take in and battery life is OK, barely lasts the day. But then again, maybe I need to change the cartridge more or charge the battery more often. And it does have a nasty taste, kind of plastic/chemical and a couple of times the liquid dripped on my tongue which is really nasty. But then again I was never one who thought the taste of regular cigs was good either, it was just not noticeable after awhile. The instructions are written in fractured English so it is hard to know how to use it.

What do you think? Could I go to a smoke shop somewhere and get something better at a better price?

80 bucks for that? What a rip off. You'll find numerous threads telling you to AVOID THE FREE TRIALS. Once you get them, it is very hard, if not impossible to get your money back. buy one from one OF ECF's approved suppliers.

You can get it in a 3 days or less...

Cignot or vapor4life...good ones to start with and easy. fast shipping.

You can get a good one for 60 or so bucks.

Do not purchase free trials! Nothing in life is free!

i agree with kimmy.......the ECF has many excellent vendors. i would try to get your money back and get some 'real' stuff from one of the ECF's reputable vendors.

i would read a little here so you know what you are getting before you order it.

and dont worry too much about the analogs, i say if you have cut back on them any at all then all is not lost.
i supplemented for the first month till i got settled on equipment and juice.

Yes but you are in Texas. You would not believe how much cigarettes cost in Massachusetts, like $8 a pack at least, and a pack is gone in a day easy. And, now you can not buy them through the mail to save money becasue of the PACT act. This was what led me to look into ecigs.
in the end of my smoking days, i was smoking little cigars like swishers. they were cheaper and not taxed like regular cigs are.
(it's an idea)sorry don't know about Mass.

They are a total rip off. Run like heck from them. They lie at every turn. I ordered on the phone. I was told "in my hand in 4 days" It was 19 days. I ordered menthol, got regular... I returned the whole kit unused within 3 days with their RA number and went to totally wicked for a 510 setup. They just charged my crad for the kit I returned over amonth ago and are refusing to take it off, even though I returned it unused in a couple of days..
Their service sucks, their product sucks and my poor mother bought two of the kits (200 bucks total) and both of hers lasted less than a MONTH!

Run like heck, stay away from these guys. I like totally wicked, tasty vapor and even tried bluegrass. I love tasty vapor! Yummy cinnamon! They have a true menthol, not a peppermint like some!

Hope you get your money back, sorry you got ripped man. One thing that you can do to cover your own ... is to document everything including the return shipping, and if you have buyer protection on your credit card you may need to take advantage of that, Visa does have a form of buyer protection, you should call your company and check their policy and explain your situation, they tend to be willing to work with you, (I'm not sure how this may be reflected in your credit rating.) The money usually takes a LONG time to be returned either way, it will take like 2 months to go through claims. Anyway, For the same price you could have gotten WAY more at Cignot including a PCC and more fluid, the "sweetened" deal is not anyway near competitive with a more trustworthy vendor.
Before you send it back inform them that you have documented everything, when I found myself in a situation like this with an online retailer I sent in a letter along with the returned merchandise re-explaining the situation and attaching all correspondence, it might improve the odds a bit.
Consider your options, maybe you want to eat the loss and just stop further payments. Hardware breaks down so you'll need to buy more stuff eventually.

Just make sure that you're not obligated to buy carts from them for the next year or anything and then move on. I bought a bad kit for too much money when I started too (most people do). But at least I didn't get into any kind of contract or anything. It took me all of a day to realize my mistake and contact a local vender (found through the forum) who was willing to meet me and sell me a DSE 901 kit. I kept the cheapies and display them on the top of my vaping equipment box as both a reminder of my naivety and a monument to my success.

I concur with the above post, those free trials are rip offs. I'd send it back, hopefully you'll get refunded, I say hopefully with trepidation. Then take the time to go to the vendor list on this site. You will be happy with many of them, .....do yourself a favor. Done a lot of business with many of the vendors, and have been well satisfied.
