I can't confirm that these cartos are why my KSD VV eGo died on me (see earlier thread), but it may have been them. I'm certainly wary of using these again on an ego....:2c:

Save them for the new Provari, and order in a bunch of 2.7's as well. ;)

Nah. The ProVari v2's higher amp limit deserves the 1.5ohm dual coils. I run them on my EVO at the high setting and they are absolutely fantastic. Conversely, I find the 2.7ohm singles can't really handle much above 5.5V long-term, which any VV can handle even with the 2.5A limit. Just make sure you're using proper IMR batteries.

Love them, love them, love them!

I have been vaping these in one format or another since September (black, clear, flanged), and have found that they kick ... on everything I put them on. From my lowly 650mAh eGo to my Reo and ProVari, they're all I use. I routinely push through 3-4.5 mls per day and usually get 1-2 weeks use from each one.

Never had a problem with leaking, burnt taste, dry hits or battery issues. The only issue I ever had was my fault, I put zesty lemon liquid in one of the clear resurrectors and it after a week it cracked. Every other liquid has been fine.

I found them to be to have a burnt taste while taking long pulls on my mini.
That and they only last me about 3-4 days where I can get a full week out of a boge

3 - 4 days sounds about right. I usually chuck mine out around that time anyway. Rarely do I use one for more than that. But, I don't believe in blowing out or cleaning etc etc. At little over a buck a pop, they are easily disposable.

Agreed, I have a pile in a container that I have been collecting. Tried to clean one and said to hell with it, not the same taste and not worth the effort.
I just don't understand why I'm getting the burning taste on long pulls

How long are your pulls? I'm a Fire, 1-1000, 2-1000, 3-1000, 4-1000, stop firing. No burnt taste.. and you know Geoffs gets burnt easily!

Easily 5-8 seconds. I like em long and slow <insert TWSS joke here>

I don't get it with a boge or vision with GB or anything else. Even the 2.7's didn't give me that burn taste at 5.5v (around 11 watts vs the 9 with the 1.7's)

I just tested the 1.7 in my hand on a 6 second pull, and got a lot more vapor but no burnt taste. Could you be running them a bit dry? They like to be juicy while they are "young" but it's also the cause of their downfall 3 to 4 days later because the wetness just corrupts it and they don't wick that well anymore. Enter burnt taste..

Do you get the burnt taste off the bat, or after 3 to 4 days?

I do run them wet. Almost to the point of gurgling (as I thought it might not be wet enough).
I get it at all life of the battery, if I only take a quick sharp pull then it's okay, but my normal slow long drags give burn taste all the time.

Hmm.. further thinking may be required on this problem. I'm going to go get another couple Mojito's and see if I can figure out your answer in my higher state of enlightenment. :)

Back in a few hours!

Haha with all that mint & GB no wonder you can't taste the burning
For all I know it could be a bad batch. We will see in the next month to two on my next order

The next time we meet, I'll let you "Say Hello to my Leetle friend!".. You can then see if you are experiencing the same "burning" issues.

Yeah, I'll have to try those. I think I do have a couple of 1.5DCs left too....looking forward to new experimentation with my new toy. I am probably getting an XL Phiniac glass tank shortly, so I do want to stick with the 45mm cartos for the foreseeable future. I'm really enjoying the 45mm stainless 2.0ohm boges in my regular ST tank....I just got in my latest AVE order...120mls of Boba's....aw yeah
