I bought a pack of these for my wife's year old auto battery kit, and they don't work. There's no airflow. I compared them to an old carto from V4L and the difference is the SmokTech ones do not have the groove cut across the positive post. Some reading around the forum tells me that 808 cartos are always supposed to have this groove for airflow. You can even see in the product picture at madvapes that there is no groove. Maybe these should be rebranded as 901 cartos? Or tell SmokTech to cut the groove in them...

Anyway, they do work fine on a boxmod I made with 901/808 threads, so it's not a total loss, but my wife isn't happy about using an "ugly" ecig.

Maybe they work with manual 808 batts as well, but I don't have any to test.

These are the ones I'm talking about: Smok Tech Black 808 Cartomizer

I just took a peek at these and they all appear to have slots on the connectors. Did you happen to get a green box or was it a white box?

hoog

They're in a white box with "808 B" written on it with a ballpoint pen.

Just to make sure we're clear, the notches on the side of the tube are there, but the groove that's normally cut across the positive contact itself, right across the little air hole in the center, is missing.
