Hi. Ive seen a thread or two saying that madvapes 808 carts have problems with v4l batts, specifically the smok tech brand. Madvapes also has a few different 808 carts: the madvapes dual coil, smok tech, and clearomizers.

my situation: i have V4L short batteries, autos and one manual. i want to order some juice and carts from mad vapes but i dont know which one to get that is compaitble with v4l 808 batts. obviously the smok tech is a bad idea to try, even madvapes.com has a review saying it doesnt work with v4l.

my question: which madvapes 808 cartomizer is compatible with a v4l 808 short battery (auto and manual)?

thanks

Well I started out with v4l 2 years ago and still have some v4l batts(not 2yr old batts won a contest with them about 6 months ago) I still use for hands free while at work and I use MV's 510 2.0ohm or 1.7ohm with them with a 808 to 510 adapter and work well for me.The lower ohm ones work better for me with the 3.7v batts but I like bigger hit and more vapor....I believe the lowest ohm one's v4l sale are 2.3-2.5(wow cartos)and the one's I mention hit better for me than them even though they are 510's with a 808 batt.

well it seems youre using a modified setup and im not really savvy on such things. ive made four orders for pvs my entire life, 2 from v4l and 2 from MV, the first 2 being the pv kit and sampler packs and the last 2 being a pv kit and juice, so idk too much about the 510 to 808 issue.

so your second reply was what im really asking...i just want to know if anyone had success with MVs carts working with v4l batts.if so, which?

Basically the issue has to do with the height of the battery post inside the battery and the threading/battery connection in the carto. I had some issues using a SmokTech battery (an eGo style) with some 808 cartos. I believe the smoketech has a slightly lower post in the battery and a higher one on the carto. Essentially, this should mean that going the other way (Smoktech carton on V4L battery) they should make a connection, although there will likely be a slight gap between battery and carto.

Alternately, most of the time you can use a safety pin or paperclip to slightly (and carefully) pull the battery post in the 808 battery up a little bit to make proper contact.
