Hello, I have recently started buying the XL Clearomizers from here and I love them. I'd like some recommendations as to the best battery to use with these. I had been using the CoolCarts from V4L before. Both the Clearomizers from here and the CoolCarts work fine on the first generation 808 batteries, but neither will always work on the newer generation batteries. The CoolCarts never work on the newer diamond batteries without pulling up the center post of the battery. The Clearomizers occasionally work without pulling up the center post, but usually not.

I want to use a newer generation battery, or something better than the old style batteries. Madvapes only has one 901 battery. It has a poor review and currently is only available in white, which I don't want. I hate to post a question looking for batteries from another supplier in this supplier's forum, but I plan to continue using MadVapes juices and Clearomizers. Unfortunately, 808 batteries do not seem to be one of MadVapes strengths.

Can somebody please recommend good batteries to use with these Clearomizers?

Edit: I'd like to add that I have several 808 chargers, a couple of personal charger cases, and lots more accessories, so I'm not looking to use a different model of battery if I can help it, as I don't want to buy a whole bunch of new accessories for the batteries. I just want the best 808 battery that will work with these cartos.

We don't do much 808 stuff other than cartos and a couple of kits.. Sometimes we have box mods or roughstacks with 808 connectors and we can always make one for you with an 808.. Maybe eGo batts will give a little more capacity and you can use an adapter to get just about anything to work.. If you're looking to stay with auto batteries, Smok is supposed to be coming out with an auto eGo style battery and they also have an 808 eGo manual battery coming out that won't require an adapter..

I dunno, that just seems... wrong to me, like some sort of weird creature :)

I use clearo's/e2's almost exclusively now but I prep them when I get them.
Take a 3 ml syringe and pull the plunger out and remove the rubber cap.
After pulling the cap/ring off the carto - BEFORE the first fill - insert the plunger into the top of the cart0 and press just hard enough to see the center post of the cart lift a little. This also makes sure the center air tube is not loose at the top or the bottom so it will cut down on the seeping/leaking that can occur with the C/e2's.
Fill and replace cap. The slight lift should give you a good connection to your batts.

Thanks! I'll give that a try. And, thanks to all who have answered! I have placed 2 orders with MadVapes in the past 3 weeks, and I am really enjoying the great products and excellent customer service. Certain other Vendor forums are not nearly as friendly as this one.

The attitude of the vendor greatly influences their forums. Madvapes was one of the first vendors I tried and I got lucky. Now, though, I check out a vendor's fora before buying from them--if the people hanging out in a vendor's area are rude and unfriendly I have to figure there's a reason they attract that kind of customer.

Luckily, MadVapes carries almost everything I need :)

If they started carrying computer supplies and groceries, I'd just move down to North Carolina...
