so i just got a smoktech 3.5 ml dct i filled it up and soaked the pollyfill.... or so i thought and it hit good you know good throat hit but not a lot of vapor so i knew something was up and then i got a burnt taste so i kept soaking the pollyfill and then it started to leak out the bottom and now i get a few good hits and then that horrible burnt taste and i dont get any bubbles like some users say and i doubt the liquid is anything other than pg based i may have gotten a bad carto or not soaked the pollyfill good enough i dont get it because im not dripping down the center hole yet its all leaking out the bottom quicker than i can soak it up anyone please help i apologize if its posted somewhere else just redirect me i am a newbie to tanks and filling them and doing this ahhh please thanx again guys

...sounds like you have either burned a hole in the center air tube of have an air leak in the tank itself........

are you sure the carto is all the way in the tank and getting a good seal ? I have 4 of those tanks and they never leaked
Unfortunately, once you get a burnt taste in a carto it's time to throw it out. Hopefully you ordered a backup; if not, you can punch a hole in any XL carto, I believe.
I just don't like a DCC in a tank seems like they always over wick for me even with 100% vg
yes the carto is in all the way and i drip down the side of the carto i tilt the carto im doing everything i can and it just seems like its pouring out the bottom where it connects to the battery im goona order more cartos soon can someone tell me how the best way to fill a new one is before i fill the tank should i drip the liquid into the pollyfill or should i fill the tank first? i suppose i got a bad carto probably?
oh and to madjack i didnt fill the tank up all the way probably like 3 ml out of the 3.5 it holds i was inspecting the tank and it looks like the tank is almost cracked on one side ilke someone didnt seal it all the way when they were making it :/
Sounds like you should get a refund for that. No wonder it didn't work.
Some people fill the tank first, then hold the bottom of the carto against their palm and suck on the mouthpiece to pull liquid into the filler. Other people fill the carto where it's vapeable first, then fill the tank. Either method, I'd let it sit for like ten minutes before vaping it.

well its not a huge crack but when i rub my finger up against it u can feel something is there and the place i ordered from doesnt do refunds either way itd cost me like 6 bux to ship it to them so id only get like 9 bux back it wouldnt be worth it honestly imo i just i dunno because i have an ego kit well ego clone rather and i want something else to use on it besides having to fill the ego tanks i want something that i wont have to fill every few hours but is easy enough to fill and now im hesitant to get ne more dct any ideas?
Yup,I just fill my tank and leave it alone for a period of time...no filling the center,just the tank...never fails.
