Flooding cartos in tanks are usually caused by a bad seal in the tank (ie bad o-ring). To work right they have to have a vacuum seal. Otherwise carto-tanks are nearly foolproof. Sometimes it can get flooded while you are filling the tank, if this is the case you should be able to blow the extra juice out of the carto with it still in the tank, and not have any further problems. I got a Smoktech tank with a bad o-ring straight out of the package.

If it happened after you filled it and snapped the cap back on, it's because the tank is sealed and there is nowhere for the juice to go.

Think of it like this: When you start to put the top of the tank back on, there is air in the tank. When you force the cap all the way down, the only place for that air to go is straight through the feed hole in the cartomizer. That is why it floods. What most people do to avoid the flooding is get the cap in just enough to make a seal at the top of the tank and prevent juice leaking out and angle the tank to where the air bubble is right over the feed hole. From there, slowly push the cap down so that, instead of pushing juice through, you're actually just pushing air through and that will prevent the flooding. As you do this, you will notice your air bubble gets smaller because it's air you're pushing out of the tank and not juice.

Hope this makes sense. Good luck!
