Hello ECF Veterans! I seem to be having problems usingmy Smokteck DCTs. They keep flooding in the vape stack:blink:

I put some juice in the carto and insert them in the tank just shy of the topand fill the tank the rest of the way and let it sit for an hour or so. Theyhit really good for a while and then they seem to flood with juice in the vapestack (gurgling). My 3ohm Boge/J-Tanks work great, never a problem, but mySmoktech DCTs keep flooding out. Am I doing something wrong?

I had one Smokteck 3.5ml DCT on a SD KeyRing batt for over a month of light/occassional vaping with no problems at all,but can't seem to get these new cartos to work with my 6ml tanks on theLT or ProVari...I'm I hitting it too hard? Any ideas what I'mdoing wrong?

The Smokteck DCTs can be a bit tricky getting to feed at a proper rate depending on the e-liquid you're using, and needing to be sealed airtight. You didn't mention the resistance of the DCT or voltage of the ProVari you are using, but the heat produced can thin whatever you use. And make sure the inner O-rings aren't damaged or nicked, too much air leaking can flood the carto.

When you used it on your keyring at 3.7v on a battery that would sag, because it can't produce the 2.5 amps required for a 1.5 ohm carto.
It would have worked, it didn't have the power to heat the coils near as well as your ProVari.

Think about how hot a carto or atty tube can get with a single coil. I have been using 50/50 PG/VG at 4.8v - 5.2v with a 2.0 ohm DCT and the one tiny pre-drilled hole feeds the juice fast enough after the first few drags to keep it wet without flooding most of the time.

Another option with the DCT tanks I've used is a stainless metal CE2 XL carto with a couple slots, fits perfectly and not a drop of leaking.
