Luckily we are just staying the night and driving back into Texas tomorrow morning. I won't miss it either. I have found a few places on this trip that I will never travel thru again. La Junta is one (no offense) and I don't want to ever go anywhere near Nebraska, Eastern Colorado or NE Kansas again (no offense, just not the most scenic routes). It would of been worth it to go a little out of our way and come down from Cheyenne thru Colorado Springs and Pueblo. It would of been a nicer drive and better roads. I packed 700 ml of Juice in 4 different flavors for our 2 week trip and between my brother and myself we have only used 80 ml. Looks like I over packed more than just my clothesUsed to live in La Junta. Don't miss it one bit...
You should make the trip. Mount Rushmore was awesome. We even drove around the backside and got a close-up profile view of GW. We woke up yesterday morning to find a Buffalo grazing outside our RV at Custer State Park. It is a beautiful area and daytime temps were below 70 while night time was low 50's.Hope you are having the time of your lifeSo many times i wished I could run away and drop off the grid for a while

Awww, I can't like that!Wished I couldNo running away for me. Mom (79 in Oct) can't be left alone long and can't take car rides/traveling anymore. So other than bill paying, grocery shopping or an occasional cookout with a brother I go no Where
