11:42pm here I'll be up for a while, no work for 3 more weeks :S starting to feel a bit better today, cartilage must be starting to heal, still hurts a tonne when I cough or sneeze though :S

Understand the feeling. The possibly permanent Shoulder injury is bad enough, 18 months and counting, but I had to have a Herina repair on the 5th of Aug. The lack of mobility is wreaking havoc.

Hit the bed at 3:30a.m this morning and finally passed out around 7:30. Back up in pain at 10a.m.
Hernia is healing great, but the shoulder is really causing trouble. Right side has been useless since Feb.

That's right, you fell and hurt your back a couple of days ago, if I remember right. I bet it does hurt to cough, sneeze, stand up, sit down... No fun at all. :(

Went to bed last night, wife was already sleeping, fell asleep on the other side of the bed by her feet and got woken up to her kicking me in the shoulder by accident (so she claims lol).

Sounds rather familiar. The wife has this thing, where i wake up with her feet rubbing my cheek, regularly. 20 years of marriage , feet in the face, no problem.

Yeah, it was really hard to see my dad pass. But I'm glad I was able to spend all that time with him before he did. My mom is happily living it up in the Philippines. :)
So sorry to hear about your parents.
Thankfully there is the Alert box on this site that you can scroll through or you would never be able to keep up with this thread.

Thanks and sorry to hear of the loss of your father.

The trip to the nursing home will be the final destination for them, they just are not able to live at home anymore. They have all kinds of help from various organizations but now seem to require 24/7 care and a nursing home can provide that.

I wish I could look after them like you did, but unfortunately for me it is just not feasible.

So I dozed off in the bed, for a minute. Only to wake up to the frenchie leaving a dog puke cookie on my pillow, next to my face.
How kind of her. Laundry at midnight anyone?
Ahhh, I feel your pain. Woke up to wet feet the other night for the same reason. At least my Lhattie had sense enough to puke at the foot of my bed, though! :(

Thank you for the very kind words of encouragement. I am an only child so I will bear the brunt of the emotional roller coaster that my mother is experiencing being separated from my father. They are both in their 80's and have lived a full life.

I just can't fathom losing a father at an early age and daughter so young. I don't know how you survived, I would be in an institution for quite a long time.

don't worry I wonder myself some days!

I do know what you are going through, and what you will go through. But perhaps through it all one thing will help you..

The last words my daughter ever spoke, she spoke to my husband. She said:
"It's so beautiful daddy, it is so very beautiful." Then she reached out her hand, to what none of us know.. and she breathed her last.

That is what she said, in the last breaths she took.

I will keep you in my prayers... my thoughts are with you.. if you ever want to talk, or a shoulder to cry on, just send me a message.

I have a problem.... If I don't sleep facing the outside of the bed I snore every time and don't want to be waken up..
