They only give the credit twords gear not juice... And I really only get juice from them. Everything else is just too over priced... $16 for one of those batteries. $18 for 2 off amazon.

And their juice is about on par with online retailers. So that's was the main reason I went to them other than the fact that they are a walking distance from my house.

But the fact that they sell stuff they know are going to kids and kinda duped me (by saying these were Orig VTC5's) makes me only want to go if no other option is available... Like "last place on earth" situation.

But oh well, kinda my fault for not checking the batteries before I left.

Live and learn.

Well here is the batts I got.


Idk if real or fake... They work, that's about all I can tell yah...

From what I read, they are fakes, but others say real...

They look legit....offset on printing is right, top and bottom are right, couldn't see the seam to judge that.

have never used batteries so i cant help but if theyre working fine i wouldnt be worried

Not yet. They keep a set charged for customers so I got them "fresh" but I'll slap them on my d2 tonight. Anything I should look for?

Dunno, I guess you could keep time on how long they are charging/discharging. Without equipment, there is little you can do, imho.
Rewraps, afaik, usually at lower mAh and lower Amps, but I'm not sure you could push that D2 hard enough to see if they really deliver what they promise...

i can dig it - but getting batteries on amazon is rolling the dice, in my experience - with illumn, i am pretty confident i am getting what i order and that it is authentic - i don't mind cloned atty's, just not a fan of cloned batty's

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that thought that... He seemed like a putz, his kid were pressuring him real bad, he obviously had no clue. I wanted to say something but the employee was switching out my doge clone for a mutation x because of a faulty center pin.

I didn't want to talk to the father about it and have the employee get "rear end" hurt and kick me out.... I wanted to get my stuff and leave... I figured I just won't support them anymore. But then the need for batteries came up... Remembering I had a $16 credit, I figured I'd use that up first before not returning. Now that I got my possibly fake VTC4's, I'm just done... I'll get my stuff elsewhere.

Take a close look at the Square seal. If it is Dot matrix = fake
Real has a distinct pattern of hex shapes, some with open circle centers.

VTC5's are also still available and have been back in production for the industrial sector.
Orbtronic is an authorized seller and I have purchased/verified.

Wish people would keep up to date.
Sony moved their facility and had to completely retool - takes months.
Industry catch up orders go first, then wholesale suppliers to commercial retail.

Sony Never sold the batteries as a Consumer level product. Suppliers do that.
They are still(authentic) in short supply due to popularity and waiting customers. Stock will eventually settle.
