I found this about the first use of the word vape



The earliest I found on this forum is from the forum founder pondering in an early post on December 18, 2007:

Well it's not smoking....So what is it?

"E-smoking" is a bit of a handful, "Misting" sounds far too fey, "Vaporizing" or "Vaping" has drug connotations.

There must be a better word for my new hobby! Suggestions?

A few months later, someone else was happy to use vape in a March 2, 2008 post:

That has already been answered... see if you cannot find a use similar to the march 2 post between 2006 and that post..

Don't take this the wrong way, as I know many people who use sweeteners in their juice, but personally I don't. The one area we don't know if there may be issues yet is with the flavoring. So I personally don't use anything extra.

Is also why I like to keep the amount of flavoring low. Even with smoking one or two a day won't kill you, 3 packs a day like I use to smoke very much can. The dose makes the poison.

I do use some sweeteners in a few mixes, but Low amounts of everything. A little flavor can go a long way.
I can't handle Unflavored(yet) but it doesn't take much flavoring to fix that.

Just to tell people.. this post here in 2008 (second post in this thread: NJOY International | E-Cigarette Forum ) has already been answered..

so the trick is going to be to find the use between 2006 and 2008 in relation to "vaping" an e-cigarette..

So far the earliest "legit" entry is from July of 2007, IIRC.

I used to go though about 3 liters of MT Dew a day, had to give it up cause of the sugar. and the Diet tastes like well I'll just say I wouldn't want to have that taste in my mouth. I now drink some of those 10 calorie ones.
