With Kanthal, I've had my best flavor results using 26ga dual builds, 8/9 wraps each, on a 3.0 mandrel, contact coils, cotton wicking, and it comes out 0.55-ish ohms, running at 30-35w and cylon airflow somewhere around 25%, where it's a bit restrictive but still easy to lung hit. Indirect air holes are always closed.

With TC on the Velocity with Yihi chips, I like two 3.0mm coils, 10 wraps each of spaced 28ga Ni200, reads in at about 0.08 ohms, and I run it at about 480F and 30-40 watts/joules, same airflow as above. On my DNA40 and DNA40 clone devices, I might bump up to 12 wraps to reach the 0.1 ohm target, and use all 40 watts to help the extra coil mass heat quicker.
