My mom goes back there several times a year. I haven't been back since I lived there all those years ago. She says it's grown and nothing like it was when I lived there. I would love to go back one day, I spent my teen years vacationing there and moved there when I was 21 for a while. Back then they didn't even have a school on the island ( I don't know if they do now or not) so they bused the kids to school in Savannah. I moved because I didn't have a way to get my son to school and I didn't want him on a bus for that long of a trip being 5 years old.

You should go back sometime...I thought it was interesting and of course we spent a day in Savannah which was the first time I was there which was so enjoyable also but I wouldn't want to send my kids to school there everyday ,,,, what a long bus ride that would be!! Other than eating at the fabulous restaurants and going to the cute shops ... We spent a lot of the time at the house we rented right on the beach ....it was just so beautiful to sit out with my family with the ocean right there!
