I've spent about 5 days with my new SmokTech Gripper. I must say that I'm quite impressed with the flavor, vapor and throat hit that I'm getting from it. I only wish I had something to compare it to. The only other device that I've ever used to vape was a pack of prosmokes, which turned me on to vaping. The Gripper just took it to the next level.

With the Smoktech 2200mah batteries installed.. I got every bit of 4 days out of it, And finally put it on charge when it was showing 3.6v left. So I probably could have got another day out of it or close to.

Within' the first 4 days I used approximately 1 and 1/2 Vivi Nova tanks.

I was a PAD smoker (Newport menthol) and ever since vaping for the first time, I've never looked back.

My only complaint is that the ohm reading is a little off. I installed what gotvapes.com claimed to be a 3.2ohm atomizer and I get a reading of 3.1ohms.. Then I installed what gotvapes.com claimed to be a 2.8ohm atomizer and got a reading of 2.4ohms.. Then I installed a Vivi Nova with a 2.4ohm head and got a reading of 2.6ohms.. Then I installed a SmokTech 1.5ohm DCT and the reading was right on the money, 1.5ohms.

One's over, one's under, one's precise.. dunno what the dealio is with that.

If anyone else would like to share their experience with the Gripper, please do so.

I've had mine for a few weeks now, maybe a little over a month. I loved it at first. Hits great. Still does.

Now though, the rubber coating is coming off, the button is not firing like it should all the time, and the 510 connector wobbles all around. That means it will only be a matter of time till it fails so I would not recommend it.

I'm afraid I may have to agree with this. I was so hyped up about this, thinking that with smoktech being a pretty large company, they'd make something quality. I've had mine for a couple of weeks and am running into similar issues. Has been not-quite-dropped once, and the battery door broke on one side, the 510 connector is getting looser, and I'm not sure if it's the button or the battery door, but it cuts in and out as I vape. I feel like I wasted $50, and I don't have $50 to waste :(

I've now had my Gripper about a month and a half. Still pulls great.. doesn't wobble, hasn't peeled, button works consistent and the battery door is still intact and flush. Maybe I got lucky or took better care. I did hear these devices are very fragile and one simple drop can cause multiple fatal problems. I have yet to drop mine so I can't confirm this.

Have any of y'all with these similar issues dropped your device?

Been using mine for about two weeks and I love it. Even though I love it I can't recommend it because I think it is only a matter of time before the 510 connector breaks lose. Otherwise it works great. My vv lambo(9 pound chrome lava tube lol) will probably end up back in service faster then i would like.
