I bought one of these two days ago, and absolutely LOVE IT. It does have a lock for whomever was wondering, in the pic it is locked. I have an 18350 inside of it, and could not be more happy. As you can see I even brushed the chrome off of my aga t2 to match it! I have been vaping it non-stop for the last 48 hours, and love it, but take my excitement with a grain of salt...I have only been into mech mods for the last 2 weeks and this replaced a k100 :p

The mod feels very solid, has some weight to it, feels very comfortable in the hand, the button is buttery smooth, and all threads are very smooth (the lock especially) My only gripe is that with my AGA t on it I do have to lock it every time I set it down standing up or it engages the button. However the button needs to be depressed all the way so you do not have to totally engage the lock to set it down. So far I am digging it, and will probably get another just because of the price, but keep in mind I am comparing this to the k100 clone, and that is really the only other mech I have handled so I am sure this is a really biased review.

I'm also waiting to see somebody check the voltage drop and build quality of this. Lets just hope they didn't screw up on the contact materials (please be copper or brass). Also from the pictures iv'e seen theirs a spiderman logo on the bottom of the switch. the badassery of that almost outweighs the huge ugly Smok logo engraved on the side... almost.

I checked the voltage drop on mine, but if you read my little mini review, I am not the most experienced with mechs. This stuff has forced me to learn a lot about electricity etc.... This is what I found PLEASE correct me if I did something wrong, as I said I am still learning and this is how I checked the voltage drop, but like I said it may be skewed...

With that being said:

With an AW IMR 18350 reading at 4.1v I tested the voltage drop using my Aga t2 (positive cable from the multimeter on the positive center post of the aga t2, and of course the black cable, prong, diode, whatever it is called on the Negative screw.)

And got a reading of 3.3v (totally shocked at first, no way is it that low!) My coil in the aga t has been dead on .7 ohms for the last week.

Then I try it with my IGO-L dripper (wrapped at 1.5 ohms) and with the same 4.1v battery I get a reading of 3.8

Then I think to myself...Derp, of course my coil set up is going to change the reading, and remove my wick and coil from the Igo-L and test again with the same 4.1v battery with no coil at all, just the two +/- posts and get a reading of 4.0v

SO, I am assuming when people test, or refer to the "overall voltage drop" of their device they are using the reading that I got for my last test, with no wick/coil, just the voltage coming through the mod (just my RDA base with the posts and no coil.)

Please let me know if that is right or if this is making any sense to anyone else! Hopefully so, if the voltage drop is only .1 I am totally fine with that.

Thanks!

You tested it properly by testing it under load. The resistance of everything but the atty (including the internals of the battery) and the atty form a voltage divider circuit. The voltage you read is a function of the relative resistance of the atty and everything else. Higher voltage means less internal resistance of everything else.

Thanks a TON for letting me know!

MAG buttons have a good wrap. they are supposed to last longer than a spring button and they feel good resistance wise. I believe PBusardo has a video where he has the Magneto on a chart with other devices and hes saying that the magneto has one of the top 4 voltage drops, even with mods in the 100s of dollars being beaten out by this cheap little mod. So I guess the vdrop aint shabby.

I just dont trust smoktech to put out a good product. maybe the version 5 or 6 will be good. but I'm not stupid enough to buy the 1st version. or the new 2nd version that already came out. lol.

Got this baby after 1 week usage of my Sentinel V3 clone, yes, that aluminum 510 connector thread stripping.

Also, thanks to VapeSquad's Magneto review, giving a solid 4.1 out of 5, I placed my order with local auction seller for MYR196 (USD60.15).

This mechanical never fails me ever since then. Been mainly vaping it with my wide range of BCC and loving it to the core.

Looking forward for version 2 or in other colors, design.

Your right about the voltage drop with lower resistance or ohms the voltage drop is greater BC its putting out more amps. So to stay consistent with comparison the test should be done with same device (tank or dripper). Also the battery have a factor in voltage drop In my experience an mnke vs efest the mnke produces less of a voltage drop. Also I have also noticed 18650 vs 18350 the 18650 would usually have less of a voltage drop but type and brand also is a factor. Hope that help metalhed

I got one on order too still waiting but ya my only opinion on magnetic buttons although smooth is that it adds some length to the mod much like the nzonic compared to most bottom button mods. Unfortunately I think this magneto is even longer than the nzonic which sucks for me BC I like stealthy setups I only ordered it BC I wanted to feel that magnetic switch and I didn't want to shell out a whole lot. I hope its not too long.
