Two quick questions -- what is its approximate diameter, and is it sealed bottom? I've seen the sealed version in a lot of places, but this one shows a small hole in the base next to the posts, so I started to wonder

not sealed. the air hole goes from under where the coil sits to in between the 2 o-rings on the base. I love this thing. so great.

It's about 1.5cm in diameter. The inside bottom is where the hole is that leads to the hole on the side for air flow. As long as you don't drip too many drops (I used about 20 on a dry wick, YMMV), you shouldn't get any leakage. The bottom of the post is sealed, so it won't leak down, just may leak out the side air hole if too much liquid.

Well there might be a way to use it with a bottom feeder if you are tinker and can do a little modding. My idea is to use a tube that would pass thru the airhole then you would have to make another airhole someplace else on the cap. I think it might just be doable. If I'm successful I'll post it and let you know. Waiting on mine right now from what I've heard and it's a great little dripper.
