smoktech SID misfiring

Hi I keep noticing my smoktech did keeps misfiring like I press the button and it gives me the correct read out I set it to battery life and I just notice the tank isn't firing so I was wondering if it was my sid or my kangertech protank 2 and if anyone knows of solutions to fix this problem

The Pro tank 2 will give you shorts! Its cuz the 510 connection is longer then normal and the positive pin on the head for the pro tank 2 doesn't stick out far enough. I get the same thing. I actually had been using a black SID for a month after using a silver one for a month that didn't give me any problems. The black one would say short all the time even tho there was no short so finally the store gave me another but just now it thru another short on a brand new carto tank combo so I think there is a problem. But for the Kanger Pro Tank 2 you will get a short/misfires every once and awhile just make sure you don't tighten it down to far. I put the protank on until it can feel that it has made good contact with the center post then unscrew the SID top cap until it's tight against the bottom of the protank. Feels more secure to me.
