Anyone tried this? I just ordered one.

I also ordered a set of coils. Even though I'm getting into rbas and rtas I like the idea of having
TC tanks with drop in coils. Plus I couldn't pass up the price Just wondering if anyone had one and how it worked for them.

Have not tried that but since you have a Kanger Toptank... These are Drop in TC coils

I have a box of each for my kanger but the red box doesn't say SS in the corner. Think I'd have to order the SS to use the cool in both modes. The red ones I have are nichrome and the local B & M store said not to use them in TC mode.

That is correct. Only the box with SS printed in the corner have SS wire inside the coil and the gasket ring is pink instead of red
