you call it chinese pos but you want one i guess we know what that makes you...

Hahahaha, what do YOU think that makes me? Are you speaking on behalf of a group? POS might sound harsh though I don't want to give anyone the wrong impression about this product. I have experience with smoktech and I've found their pvs one small step above a disposable. They are built and sold out of China and they must know most people won't spend money on international postage sending it back if it's defective. People like me sometimes have sometimes gotten lucky and have had a smoktech product last longer than a month without needing a repair or a replacement switch.

smoktech really works hard at ripping off American products...

Bolt= silver bullet
New repairable vivi tank= scubagen
The gripper = a failed attempt at a mini glv

And now this.... = empire.....

Smoketech.... do u have any ideas of your own? The sad thing is alot of vapers cant afford the originals so they give their money to the mass produced counterparts. So they just keep ripping off ideas.

I don't understand why tou would care about that, unless you own one of the companies they're ripping off.

I care because if a company like smoketech put money into development of their own ideas then they could bring new original products to us vapers and not just feed off the database of ideas that modders come up with. Ever hear "2 heads are better then 1"?.... well what good is it if you have two heads if one dont think for itself?

From the site description:

"Rotate the bottom button clockwisely to turn off the mod,and to activate the mod by rotating it withershins."

Ha yeah they need to hire a new interpreter..

From the vmax

"VMax buttom never get stucked which flexble 360° turnning around"

"Notice: The market guided price of Vmax is$128.0/pc,we won't provide it to client who sells it less than $128.0,please kindly pay attention to it!"

Let us all pay attention to it! Lol

Gripper = attempt at GLV = Nope. The gripper wasn't even designed by smoke tech. That one is 100% American designed and not at all intended to be anything like a GLV. Hoogie76 designed it. The first ones came off his 3D printer several months ago. It was the first recessed carto mod and its' only purpose was stealth vaping at his kids soccer games. It was originally going to be manufactured in the US and aluminum was the intended build material. I'm not sure what happened, but madvapes ended up bringing the design to smoke tech for manufacture and it became a disposable plastic mod.

And this 'telescope mod' is not much like an empire... more like the spark plug with thermo tube.

Gotvapes has these for 54.00. If they have them for 54.00 they will be selling everywhere else for 5-10 bucks cheaper.

Say what you will about these mass produced PVs. All it does is drive the costs of PV's down and gives the buyer much more choice. If it doesnt sell, they wont be made anymore. If people buy them and they get great reviews thats a win.

I was thinking this is more like a Megladon in principle .
$54 for an Chinese, aluminum mechanical mod is a lot imo.

Smok don't want to drive the prices down, they want to drive them up - have you seen their pricing policies?

I think your right....on FB they released a statement that they will only be selling to aproved venders because co-ops are making a unfair market. If they find out your ordering for a co-op they wont sell to you or if it comes out after you get your order then they will revoke your warranty.

Nice attitude from Smok.

Doing all the legitimate modders and originators out of business and wanting to charge modders prices for mass produced items that cost them pennies to make.

I can't deny there's been plenty of price gouging by modders of the years. At the same time, people also have to realize that individuals making small runs of an item have a lot more expense in setting up and development costs.

If all the originators of all these great ideas went out of business the only thing that would bother Smoktech is that they wouldn't have any new ideas to steal.

Being Australian I don't have the 'buy American' issue to worry about, although I fully understand supporting local product. I don't have a local product as an option, so to me, this device looks good, is priced OK, suits my vaping habits and most importantly is available. Is the quality as good as the American mods, definitely not, but for $40 (which I'm sure this will be available for in the near future) I'd be a dead cert to buy one of these.

Their pricing policies are so when you buy one of their products from a vendor it looks like your getting a deal. So Smok says "Oh its worth 100.00" , and a vendor sells it for 40.00 - you think your getting a deal. Also, other chinese vendors will be pumping these out for 1/2 price.

Its only going to get more intense. Chinese smell the dollars in the water and they are going start pumping out stuff we cant even imagine yet. Which im all for, if its durable, it works, and there isnt 100 versions of it (i.e the stardust).

I agree with you for the most part. However, people have a choice. We all know legit modders make better quality things. You can buy an atomizer for 5.00 but people still pay 21.00 for an HH357 all day long. If people want serious and high end they know where to go and buy it. If you want a provari, your going to buy a Provari and not the smok knock off. Its the person like me that wants to buy a cheap Chinese rebuildable atomizer to play with with before buying the higher end American made models. On the other side, people don't want to wait in lines anymore frankly. You know there are many mods out there that are slowly made because modders want to keep there product mysterious, trendy and not to mention extremely expensive. I really think its a new tone in now.. enough with the permanent sold out signs on your mods. If the market wants it, they will find someone else to build your idea. Don't get me wrong . . I understand these things require machining, time, and effort to build.
