Smoktech Winder VV eGo Type Batteries

I just ordered a Smoktech Winder VV eGo Type Battery to replace my busted eGo Twist. Anyone have any experience with these, or are they too new? I bought mine from Shark Vapor Smoktech Winder VV eGo Battery 1100mah here's the manufacturer's page on them. Winder ego vv

I'm pretty hard on my batteries, so if it lasts 6 months, I'll be ecstatic. This is a backup for my ProVari.

I like the fact that it's easier to read than the eGo Twist.

I have been using these for several week and so far they are a superior design compared to the twist. It is far easier to read your voltage regulation since it is clearly marked on the battery body instead of the dial. The dial turns smoother and is more consistant than the ego twist. My supplier only carries the winders now 650mah and 1100 mah. I have sold 10 0f these in the last week. So far so good. I am thoroughly impressed with this product and so are my friends. Plus the advantage of using a vv battery is that now you have a regulated and protected power source. No more dying vape because your battery is dying and not sending enough voltage to your carto, atty or clearo. It is a sweet vaping machine. Awesome for a back up to your big batt mod. Or even as your main device. I love these things!!

After using this for a week, I will say that the red arrow marking is a serious design flaw. The red mark should be recessed, because the paint is starting to wear off. Once it's gone, there will be nothing left to indicate the pointer. I will of course scratch some sort of mark, but I shouldn't have to. Other than that, I'm liking it.

Did have one of my buddies who got a winder have the red mark almost worn off....mind you he does construction and if I had a heavy duty job doing that I would want a sturdier mod...like my bolt. I also gave a winder to another friend and it stopped taking a charge and stopped firing all together. i tried pulling up the post and hooking it up to the charger and NADA. Nothing. DEAD. So I took it back to my supplier and he swapped it out. Mind you that was one out of 50 of the 1100s that I sold for him....better than the twists..about 20 out of a hundred were bunk.

I ordered one today (1100mah was the biggest available) but for under $20 w/ shipping, compared to $30 w/shipping for the 1300 mah Spinner, it will meet my intended use. I want something more manageable when I go out so I don't have to lug around my Vamo.

I think these are re-branded Vision Spinners. Same dial / marking arrangement.

I've one (900) for a few months with no problems. Works fine.

No issues with the red mark wearing off, but maybe I'm just gentle with my hardware. But if it does, just turn it counterclockwise gently until it stops. That's 3.3 volts. Put a dot on the dial with a Sharpie, nail polish, or whatever you have that will stick to metal, and you're good to go.

I heard that the power button changes color as the battery life decreases..is this true? I have Twists and Spinners and that would be one nice simple feature I would love to have on a portable VV battery. As it is, on Twists and Spinners, there's no way to tell if you've got hours left or just minutes. I've been burned with the minutes thing..

My wife has a 1300mah spinner and it is thicker in diameter than the 1100mah Winder.
The Power Button LED on the Winder I received does not change colors.
The mah options I have seen are 650, 900, 1100 and 1300.
I would be interested to know the varying lengths, and possibly diameters, of the different sizes.

Really? There isn't anything you have to learn or really understand. It is pretty simple and self-explanatory! It only goes from 3.2v-4.8v, so you don't have to worry about using too high or too low of a voltage.

Pretty much you adjust the voltage according to 1) The ohms in the atomizer you are using, and 2) Your preference.

Higher voltage usually means more vapor, but if you go too high you will get a burnt taste. Too low or too high will also distort the flavor.

There are a few charts floating around here on these forums, that show you exactly what voltage range is best for what ohms.

I have seen these Winders online before, although I love my 1300 mah Spinner, it is nice to see another choice being offered from a well known company. I love competition among companies, big win for us.

I just received my 650mah Winder from IBTanked. Love the colors and will order another one in the fuschia in the future with more battery life as I am a heavy vapor. I used it all day yesterday and when it flashed it's signal that it needed charging I got my USB Ego charger and hooked it up to my desktop PC. It flashed like it should and the light turned red on the charger. Then a couple of seconds later the power button on the Winder lit up (and stayed lit) and at the same time the red light on the charger began to flicker. It was red most of the time but kept flashing green in very short bursts that had a definite cycle to the pattern.

So I unplugged it afraid it was not compatible for whatever reason. I don't want to fry my only Ego charger (my spare died not long ago and money is tight) and I certainly don't want to damage my pretty new Winder. Especially considering that I've had some equipment failures all occur within a short period of time (E-Vic control head dead as a door nail after barely 5 weeks, multi-charger suddenly went on the fritz 2 days ago so Mods are all useless) and now am relying heavily on my two Twists and was hoping to have the Winder as well.

Now I fear I have to order a Smoktek brand Ego charger to ensure I don't damage my new winder or has anyone else experienced this when using a Joyetech brand Ego charger? Do I ignore it and leave it plugged in anyhow? Won't have money to order a Smoktek specific charger for a couple of weeks at least I'm afraid. Bummed!

Don't have a Winder, but several Spinners. One from SmokTek before they started the new name.

On them, the button light, after some initial flashing, stays on for a while when first connected to the charger, and my chargers will periodically blink red / green / red as the battery approaches full charge.
