Smoktech XL 2 ohm Dual Coil Carto problem in tank

So I have the aforementioned cartos in my tank and I suddenly started getting dry hits and burnt taste every so often. The punched hole is way smaller than my boge cartos but is this normal? Do these cartos have an issue with absorbing juice in a tank? I bought two 5 packs and I really don't want to just chuck them.

I just found the problem...

It appears that the top plastic part of the smoktech tank is no longer making a seal thus not really pulling juice into the carto. Guess it's time for a new tank...at least they're not that expensive.

I use them in tanks could just be that carto or you don't have holes big enough.

Yeah, I noticed you said "hole"; I use the 2-hole smoktek cartos currently, but am about to switch to the 3's to see how they compare.
