Smoktech Xpro M65 not firing?

Okay, I lied. It fires fine - but! Not over 35 watts. It just says "X-PRO", but I've only made .2ohm and .6ohm coils. Anyone know why I can't go above 35 watts? Is it because of my sub ohm building and it's a safety feature? Or do I have a defective mod? Any info is helpful, thanks y'all.

I contacted the vendor, they said it was defective. Of course it is, just my luck.
