Has anyone experienced issues with the switch on the ZMAX yet? In the last week or so, I noticed upon vaping that it would fire and then be cold, and when I looked at the display, it was on either the PU/PD screens. Lately it's gotten so bad that I have to press on the edge of the button for it to work consistently. I've tried cycling through the menus (essentially seeing if the button is intermittent), and the result was that it won't work all the time.

The biggest pain is that it will start cycling through the power setting, making me a little perturbed.

I've had it about 3 months and I'm not rough on it (only pushing hard enough to activate it).

Any fixes? Or should I be looking a a new mod?

all my complaints, occasionally when I hit button to fire it will scroll threw the PU menu changing my volt or watts and not giving me a toot, occasional misfire (device stays on until I unscrew tank) honestly though mine has been dropped probably close to 20 times so chances are slim on any warranty being backed for me......Any Advice? Can I just buy replacement chip?I'm rough on devices, but I know that I've saved well over what I paid for device since I've had it so not too concerned, will however try and take care of my next PV's better.

No button press issues yet but the fit on my button on my V3 is very loose, if I shake the mod it rattles. Also, I noticed that the draw cuts off at around 16 seconds. Is this intentional or what? I like to take long draws and now I feel limited on this mod. Anybody else have this problem?

Was your Zmax a Sigelei or a SmokTech? Who did you buy it from?

I went through the same thing with my Smoktech Zmax. I started off with reset to pu/pd and hot fire on battery change. I chalked it up to the carts. Well, now it's so bad it's unusable. The seller offered a 3 month warranty, but it isn't until now (5.5 months later) that the problem is this bad. I didn't know there was a bad batch.

So I got a hold of smoktech via skype. Their answer is:

[5/7/2013 5:47:49 PM] *Annie SmokTech: so you need to ask our distributors in USA, and we will send them the replacement parts
[5/7/2013 5:03:01 PM] kitty: it;s alomost beyond our warranty, dear friend
[5/7/2013 5:05:27 PM] kitty: so we have no way to help you
[5/7/2013 5:05:36 PM] kitty: as you order from him not us directly

If you didn't buy it from them, don't expect them to cover their warranty.

Good luck and happy hunting!
