Hey everyone in the forums i just recently bought a SMY 260 Watt Box mod and it came in just yesterday but today while i was vaping it the device just suddonly stopped working and showed up no atomizer detected even though the Mephisto V2 that came along with the device i ordered was still on the device and was running at exactly .38 ohms after cleaning the 510, messing with the rda and 510 screw in, and checking the 260 Watt chip, i decided to hop on the forums register a profile and see if someone could either A. tell me what the problem with my SMY 260 Watt is or B. tell me if they are having the same problem as well and or if its a reoccurring issue. It would be a real big help given i just got it yesterday. Thanks!

Ok so i figured something out possibly making question that fact of the 510 being messed up which i am not to proud of given it literally only has 289 hits taken off of it but thats besides the point of my hypothesis the reason i believe it may be the 510 is because when i put slight preasure on my mutation-x atty while it was attached to the device the screen no longer said no atomizer detected but said low resistence which of course would make sence for that atty because i only use it on my unregulated box mod, but after i had taken the tank off to switch back to my Mephisto V2 it showed up no atomizer detected which would make sense given no atimizer was on it but once again i connected the atty to the device and it still showed up no atomizer found. So once again i place preasure on the atty which keep in mind is running .37 ohms and is in range of the .3-4 ohm regulator on the mod and yet again it showed up low resistence. So as of now i am under the assumption of the 510s wiring(most likely the positive given something related to this happened to me with my DNA 30) is not making a connection somewere in the 510. Does it sound like i may be correct?

Maybe the contact pin is a little too low...

Yea. Unscrew the contact in the mod. If not try the tank
but it sounds like the pin is too low for contact. The mod is new and they usually
screw those contact screws all the way down at the factory.
Some tanks make contact and some don't. Had happen with my V7

Adjusting that pin will take care of the no atomizer detected message as well as intermittent resistance readings

Thanks for the idea with the contact pin guys it wasnt that but i decided to look around the 510 a bit and figured out after hours of looking theirs a Allan wrench hole directly underneath the magnetic case and in the past like i said i had a DNA 30 that had the same exact screw in right next to the 510 as well and when i played with that a bit it fixed the issue as well so idk what the Allan wrench screw in does exactly but it fixed the problem. But if u guy would have never gave me the idea to play with the contact pin i would have never discovered the Allan key hole. Thanks guys!

Where is this allen wrench screw? I'm having the same issue and simply adjusting the contact pin doesn't seem to be working.

There is a 2 part copper center pin that you can adjust with a flathead screwdriver, this is most likely your issue. When you remove the back cover there is a visible allen wrench adjustment for the outter ring of the 510. you cant miss it, its right by the top where you screw the atty on and only visible when you remove the backplate. The 510 connector on this device is hot glued in. Welcome to ECF! :D
