One issue that I have with vapers, even being one myself and an ex smoker, is I ABSOLUTELY DETEST... DETEST when I am at a bar / restaurant and I see big CLOUDS forming over my head from douche bags thinking it cool to show everyone their cloud chasing skills in a public area. Its because of people like this, is why there are stabbings ... lol

You are way out of line and to bash and slander other vapors will get you nowhere on this forum.

I live in the land of Hipster Doofus vaping Snobs. If you're not sporting AUTHENTIC atty's and mods and vaping $25 a bottle juice, then you are deemed inferior. They can all BITE MY MOD!! I own one authentic mod, a 26650 V-Rex Vanilla, and one authentic atty, a brass Tugboat. Both suck the big one. They under perform badly. My clones run circles around them. I think I might sell them to the Hipster Doofus vaping Snobs. Serves them right.

Addendum: I do own a couple of Sigelei box mods that are great!! The Hipster Doofus Vaping Snobs cannot have them.

i haven't seen anyone other than me who is vaping around here. there is a BM that i go to occasionally that has few people blow cloud in the store. i just take out my set up and blow cloud with them. not that i have set up mine for big cloud. all those kids are easy to get along with. they just want to belong and wants others understand them. if you show them what you got, they will show you what they have. and soon, everybody's friends. if there's some beer to go with it, providing they are over 21,, and few laugh, it's even better.if the place bothers, don't go. i had bad vibe with some other groups, but that's rare. when i was smoking, zippo tricks and smoke rings used to break the ice. i can still blow rings with vape and french inhale. so.. people asks me how they are done.

Great attitude! My vape "friends" are all significantly younger than I am by at least 10 years. We met at the shops, but they come over for dinner, hang out at our house, etc. As for vaping, they are FAR more extreme than I am. They also don't dress like me, or listen to a lot of the same music. Somehow we all seem to get along just fine.

1st: You can't feel inferior or judged unless you give someone else the ability to "look" at you and you automatically think that they are judging you. Your fly could have been down.
2nd: Your angry at hipster vapors for judging you when what I hear coming out in this thread is judgements of "hipster" vapors.
3rd: No one owes you anything, you are not owed respect, or positive attitudes, it's up to you to filter the negative and let it be. Because again making sure you feel good is not a responsibility of others, see previous sentence.

Life is a million times easier if you focus on your vape, if it is good for you than you should know that it is, no defense required. I know it feels good to complain but it gets you no where but couped up, alone, and feeling bitter. Life is way too short to make yourself all wound up over things that you do control, how THEY vape is not one of them. Stress kills.

I can't see anyone not getting along with TheJakeBailey.....but he's a rarity.

As far as vaper bashing goes, those folks you're bashing are out there, somewhere having a good time with friends right now. You're sitting at your computer whining and crying about them. So, who wins? The bashee.

Since your posting two of the same rants I will post mine here also....

What makes you so intimidated from others using different devices or different ratio juices ? is it just that they send huge plumes into the room ? your rant seems rather obscure to think there wouldn't be people like that at a vape lounge that serves alcohol .I'm not sure you smoked cigarettes for a long time but for the price of a pack a day for a month would buy a very nice device and a regulated mod and yes you could save quite a bit of money wrapping your own coils / wicks on an RTA with way better flavor.

I drip. I use a tank system and carts. I use egos and I use mechs. I use whatever I feel like using. I learned a long time ago to ignore people who think they know what is best for me because they do not.

You want to smoke? Smoke.
You want to vape? Vape.

You want to smoke and vape? Go for it.

Respect me and I will respect you unless you are a bumbling idiot.

You in this respect is people.

it's just guys that all look the same

Vape gear is also "follow-the-leader". A lot of the reviewers have "killed" certain gear because they didn't like it, it's not cool enough, or big enough, or whatever.

If a big reviewer doesn't like your product, expect it to go on the Clearance aisle quickly

(which is good for those of us who don't think you have to spend a lot of money to vape) Back in 2012 I quit smoking in less than 10 days on an ego batt and some clearos

I've read many blogs that say they do not like where vaping is going these days in some ways, it's getting to have a bit of a freak show edge to it....or like you said, the hipsters show, too.

Most of us, esp. if older, well we really don't even pay attention to that stuff. We are just vaping along quietly.

I have been in shops with people who were awesome, kind and helpful (both staff and patrons alike) and shops where people were rude and obnoxious. I don't go back to the latter.

I don't like labels like hipster because in both cases I could have labeled all of the kind and not so kind people "hipster". I myself have been labeled many a different label in my life, whatever, I'm a person. Labels mean nothing and are just a way of passing judgment before getting to know someone for who they are.

Perhaps if you have such a preconceived notion of someone based on what gear they use and how they dress it may color your interpretation of how your interaction is with them? Just a thought. Not saying that some people aren't jerks because they are, but preconceived notions color what you see and hear.

Just my :2c:

He doesn't like rude vapers.

There is nothing here that will get him bashed for that.

There are places to blow huge clouds.....sitting in a restaurant, unless there's a contest going on, probably isn't the place to do that.

You know, at the end, we also have to respect the fact that freedom of opinion means that some people will have opinions we don't agree with. The OP has indicated that he doesn't like how he has been made to feel in his local "scene" and I think that it is a valid opinion. It may not be popular but it is an opinion nonetheless.

But I think it would be more productive for the OP to approach those "hipsters" you are referring to and try to strike up a bit of conversation. You'd be surprised how similar even the most dissimilar people are and you might find that they are nicer and more inclusive afterwards. From the time I was a wee little kid, my family moved around a lot and I was always the new guy. I had to learn that you can't wait for others to include you, you need to actively look for it.

Good luck OP!

apparently at this point in the vaping game we are judging people by how they look? this has gone too far...

The OP expressed that he just wanted some VG and was told dismissively that it was for "drippers", and he isn't a dripper.

I do judge people on how they treat me. Actions, you know?

Maybe a few shop owners will read these posts and figure out how to train their employees to be gracious to ALL their customers. ;)

If a person walks in with a 350mah ego batt, they should be treated the same as somebody who drips or sub ohms.

Dripping is not for me either. I went to a great shop and it was all good, everyone was cool. I was impressed with the clouds so of the guys were blowing. They were in their 20's and I am in my 50's. But, it was great fun to see different set ups. I guess it is all about attitude and that clerk needs a new one.

The shop closest to me has people like that. Actually, all but one of the employees are like that. I even heard them .... talking a new customer after she left the store. They have no interest in talking to their non dripping customers, except one guy. He had a legitimate conversation with me when I had questions.

Every time I go in there to buy liquid(which is becoming rarer) I brag about how cheap I get my stuff for online, just to show them how much their poor attitudes are costing them.

I'm in a small group on Facebook of mostly drippers that has a policy of "As long as you're off the cancer sticks, that's all we care!".

Ok, so since the shop owners stereotyped the OP, who then stereotyped them as hipsters, and you're stereotyping the thread... it's been awhile since I watched Cosmos but I think that mean they've cancelled each other out, and therefore everybody can be cool? Well, that or the original post and incident will be deleted from the time stream, but I think that happens faster than this so I'm going to go with be cool.

Because science.
