You do realize I am the general public. This is not my hobby. I don't want to be part of the community. I am a guy that always looks for the better alternative, and in my case I see e-cigs as the better alternative. I am just letting you know, what some Joe, some Joe that could give an F about your forum 'your fight' or anything else may think of the entire 'system.' that is now in place, may think or gleen from his google "e-cig".

Sometimes truisms may be alluding some people because they are so immersed in something they lose sight of what a smoker, that desperately is looking to quit needs to know.
Ummmm.... okay. Happy vaping Jason Smith of the general public. Been a real treat to meet you and hope your mission to correct all that is wrong in the ECF vaping community is more than successful.
soooo I am sorry but I cant respond to you anymore.

I am sorry, let me try to put some context on this.

I am not trying to yank anyone's chain here/troll.
I have been reading all of your posts for a while (a few years).
I tried this game out pretty early on.
I am an adult male smoker that wants to quit nicotine.
Everything I am saying is to promote the adoption of e-cigarettes.

Hi I'm sorry your unhappy. But this forum is filled with great people. Not sure what "image" your referring to because we are pretty diverse we are young we are old all with a common love of vaping. Not sure why the names of things bother you but look beyond the names of things and you will find some of the nicest people you will ever encounter. Don't really understand the purpose of your post except to mabye ruffle some feathers. This forum is a great place for genuine support. I guess I don't understand your negativity?

Appology conditionally accepted.

You came across like you had a big chip on your shoulder, so its no surprise that we reacted the way we did. We've all been where you are...frustrated trying to quit smoking with mixed results. Frustrated by bad performance vape gear. Vaping is a journey and a quest to find what works for us as individuals to quit cigarettes and find the ideal vaping setup to stay off the smokes.

I never thought that I could quit smoking. I loved cigarettes. Nothing worked to stop. I was hopelessly addicted. Then I found this forum. I invested some time to learn about this new technology. A couple of months later I found a vaping setup which I actually liked better than my cigarettes.

I found that I had to spend some cash to find my ideal setup. It's an expensive setup compared to others, but its what works for me. Considering how much I spent on cigarettes every month for 35 years it was only chump change.

Provari = $ 160

Kayfun Lite + rebuildable atomizer tank = $100 (less expensive clones are available)
IBTanked cartotank = $25 (less expensive alternative)

You get what you pay for. And you can't put a price on health. I'm 2 years smoke-free this month thanks to ECF and vaping. After my success, I now pay-it-forward to others willing to learn what I have learned from my research and experience. There are many others here like me willing to help you. You only have to ask.

Gee, thank you for sharing your out-of-joint observation. Now that you have nothing else to contribute you can leave any time you want.

Agreed, you do what you pay for. But when the terminology, the linguistics of the situation is so foreign it really makes people hesitant to adopt the tech.

To put in layman's terms ... sure $160 is nothing compared to the cost of cigs, but as an e-cig newb i dont know what I am paying for.

Am I just throwing 160 away at nothing?

I think you need to start your own forum. You know, one that isn't so "clique-y." If you really lurked for a long time, you will find that there is no such thing as the "typical" vaper on this forum. We range from young punks to old farts, with everyone in-between. But, feel free to continue with the criticism. :pop:

Hey, that's a great idea...I'm gonna go grab some popcorn too!
I always forget the popcorn for these threads:pop:

Welcome Jason, I get what you're trying to say.

Well, I must admit the delivery of Jason's opinions were a bit rough,
but I for one, and looks like I may be the only one....

will say that at one time or another, I, if not we, have thought similar thoughts,
just not had the balls to put them in print.......

one thing this lad didn't say, is how all of "some" of us EX SMOKERS look down on current smokers like we never were...
that is one thing that bother me personally.......

I fell off the wagon last weekend, bought a pak of cigarettes, and if it wasn't for my young lad,
I would have been a smoker again, but I'm sure only for the afternoon, but just the same, I would have been a smoker...

The only thing that separates us from smokers, is the word "ex"

So Jason....... you have one like on your first article..... and if anybody wants to give me flak for agreeing without,
partly or totally, I can take it.....

best regards,

George

Ok, my :2c: this forum is for newbies, yes, but it's mostly for us. There are plenty of sites out there that are simple fact only sites, this is a community of vapors who need the support of each other as well as information. We're an international site that is trying to speak the same language and use the same terminology. I'm sorry you don't like Rip Tripper, some do. He gave me the courage to THINK about building coils. Plenty of others helped my journey continue. If you go to YouTube and search for 'coil building', you'll find so many others with different techniques and personalities. Here is a great site for that: Tutorials
Yeah, he sells stuff, but you don't have to buy to learn something. There are also great posts, especially by Baditude, that explain the terminology.

I want to reiterate, we are here for each other. It is our individual jobs to educate the general public.
