So after finally receiving everything and reading up on everything... I forgot one thing, the spring.

I got the stainless steel Private v2 from fasttech and it didn't come with a spring. Would it be fine to use it without a spring with an 18650 AW IMR or should I buy a spring? Where can I go about getting a spring fit for the Private v2? Thank you!

Its a full mech which does not have a bottom spring, well it does but its not exposed its in the button.

So to answer your question you don't need a spring. Drop the neg side of the battery down the tube towards the switch and get the top cap and carto/rda/rba on and you should be good to go.

From the pics on the site it shows a insulator ring on the bottom cap, there doesn't seem to be a button? Is the fire button the big copper button on the bottom of the MOD?

Interesting and rather nice looking mod (I like the bolt head look on the top and bottom to keep the mod from "rolling off the desk!" )! Post up some pics and whatnot...

The "firing button" is the big brass button on the botton of the mod with the serial number on it which has a lock ring to help prevent accidental firing as well.

Looks to me like it does have a vent hole at least.

it does not look like it uses a spring, from the pictured the battery sits on the insulator on the bottom and contact is made when you push the plunger.

just drop the battery in, and snug it up so its not loose but dont over tighten it.
i would give it a try just the way it comes first.

Thanks everybody, it works fine! If I remove the firing button, there is a spring is located inside. It has two vent holes in the center on opposite ends. I've been slowing down on analogs and now that I have my mech mod, I can use it. I'm using my friend's K100 atomizer with it right now and it works but the drip shield doesn't fit. I'm just waiting for my Russian 91% now!

just fyi, i've never used a clone, but if it's a good copy of a real gv mod, the spring is inside of the switch assembly. to get to it, rotate the button while holding the contact in place. the whole thing should just come apart, and the spring will pop out. maybe not necessary to know right at the moment, but it's helpful for cleaning.

I have 4 Grand Vapor clones from fasttech and a trident at the price there going for why not. These are my two favorite I just ordered the gold Trident to put on the brass M16 clone. I may have to get the new SS Private v2 clone as it looks like it can take an 18350 battery. Mini ego in the shot for reference the trident is small but probably the best atty I have even though its a clone.
