Not from vaping you're not. All the carcinogenic properties in cigarettes is from the burning of tobacco and the other chemicals they put into cigarettes. There is no burning tobacco in personal vaporizers. Nicotine is additive but is not carcinogenic. Click on the link in my signature if you want to learn more.

I am not convinced that anyone really knows. Yeah, PG and VG are in food, but ingesting it is a bit different than inhaling it. Yes, PG is in inhalers but people are vaping FAR more than inhalers are used. Hopefully some studies will be done so we know for sure. There are several forums on here that talk about what studies have been done so far.

But, to answer your question, cigs or not, you are never safe from cancer or heart disease. I personally think sugar and wheat are more of a danger for those two things than cigs are.

thanks everyone im getting an ecig mini (sorry dont know the full name) and will quit smoking as soon as it comes through the mail box :p been watching alot of videos on Youtube and i would swicth my normal ... for one of them right now if im honest, they look like great fun...

nicotine doesnt cause cancer, but it is a stimulant much like caffeine, and it is poisonous , so there are risks.. OD or nic poisoning...vaping is still new and its long term effects on health won't be known for awhile, but its a lot better then smoking cancer stix

Nicotine is only poisonous at full strength. We vape a minuscule level of nicotine. Why even say that other than to scare someone.

Hope i didnt sound to stupid with that last post but what i mean is that obviously you can get some cartridges without nicotene and i presume some people dont like the ones with that in it..

Most vapers use some level of nicotine. The most common level vaped is 24mg nicotine strength. Most need the nicotine to make the transition away from smoking. Most do not use prefilled cartridges but instead buy liquid and fill blank cartridges or else do the same thing with cartomizers which hold more liquid and are less messy.

I'm at the end of my first week of vaping, so take this for what it's worth, I'm just another struggling soul. One, you can quit smoking and get run over by a tobacco truck. Two -- and I did a lot of research here before I took the plunge -- vaping is not quite the same as smoking. I still have a cig here and there but in the past week I've smoked 3 packs as opposed to 8 or 9, but everyone's experience is different, some folks start vaping and they're done with analogs. Three, nicotine is a stimulant, and if you cut yourself off from any stimulant whether it be nicotine, caffeine, ......., whatever, be prepared to be sleepy. Personally I went with a high nic content but my next order is going to be a lesser nic content so that I can switch out.

I quit smoking once for 2 and a half years and the only way that was able to happen was that I wanted something more than I wanted the cigs: in that case it was to see if I could do better on my bicycle. Now I intend to quit smoking because I no longer want to spend $200+ a month on analogs (plus the breathing thing, oh those details). But quitting that other time was hell on wheels and I'm never going to go thru that again, and so far vaping seems to be working out quite well and I will get there. And I'm a 40-year smoker. Day by day.

I don't know how addicted you are but consider getting sampler packs in various strengths and flavors. Just my two cents. Good luck to us both!

Hey Paul, welcome and congrats on your kit in the mail. I vape with 18 or 24mg nicotine liquid. I successfully stepped down to 12mg then went to 6mg and that was too low. I panicked and went back up to mostly 18. If I have a craving for a cigarette I vape 24mg. There are people that vape 0mg successfully. I'm addicted to nicotine. Vaping is my nicotine delivery system of choice without the 3000 chemicals and social stigmas of smoking cigarettes. All the good and only one of the bad - nicotine. Works for a lot of people. About 10,000 new vapers every week. Amazing. Cheers to your journey into vaping.

yes I do realize you think your knowledge is above everyone elses.. sad fact it is a poison... its not to scare people...you may vape it in miniscule doses, but vape to much and it can cause OD , which umm last time I checked can cause rapid heartbeats , which umm maybe some people have bad hearts which would overstress heart function and cause death... go back and read the OP or even the thread header

you really should think before you post :)

Nicotine still has some effects that can cause or bother some health problems. It is a skin irritant and if you use medium or high nic juices in 100% PG it can be irritation to the tongue, mouth, throat or even lungs (100% PG lets through the most flavor, Th and irritation). Nicotine can cause bleeding gums. Nicotine is a vasconstrictor so it messes with blood pressure and if you get too much nicotine you can get rapid or irregular heartbeat. vaping too many sweet juices may be bad for diabetics - VG is a considered a low grade sweetener and ethyl maltol (one sweetener used for some flavors, the burnt sugar aka cotton candy flavor, often used to sweeten dessert and caramel flavors and possibly RY4 or 555 tobacco juices) is also a low grade sweetener. One guy who did not know he was a borderline diabetic got that kind of problem from vaping cotton candy juice all the time.

But you are eliminating the other 3999 chemicals including carpet glue and carcinogens.

You'll still die - everyone dies. But unless you have heart or lung problems or incipient diabetes and overdo vaping, vaping probably won't hurt you. But nobody knows for sure. Nobody can know it is safe because it has not been studied enough and there is little regulation or oversight. But we are darn sure it is safer than smoking. And vaping is for smokers.

Since they are a smoker and are getting more nicotine delivered much more efficiently in cigarettes than from vaping, it make little sense to believe that would be a problem. Scaring people needlessly helps no one. And you should check your attitude before you post.

Through my travels around the boards and different sites for e-juice, there are e-juices with 0 nicotine in them, i believe the numbers are 0,6,18,24mg of nicotine
