Hi Everyone - I'm new here and just placed my very first order for e-cigs yesterday. After doing a lot of reading here, and on Steve's website, I chose the VK. Now I can hardly stand the wait. I did get a confirmation email this evening that it shipped - yippee!!

My only concern is that I should've ordered more carts. The one pack that comes with the Ult. Ult. starter kit may not last me, but I was unsure of ordering a flavor I might not like. So...I chose menthol since Salem has been my analog for the past 20 years. I guess if it gets here, and I like it, I can place a quick order for another pack of carts asap....

Thanks for all the information here on this board. I'm SO looking forward to this. I had quit smoking in January 2008, but stupid me, I started again regularly about 3 months ago (long story). I did it cold turkey the first time, but I do love the act of smoking, so maybe this will do the trick. I ordered 11mg since I've always smoked lights and about 1 pack per day. We'l see.....

For the menthol, 11 will probably be just right for you, particularly since you smoked the lights. I am sure you will eventually come to enjoy vaping more then smoking! Welcome to our little world! Just relax and don't worry if you still have a few smokes. You will probably quickly come to the point where you don't even want an analog like the rest of us, but at your own pace! And don't be afraid of trying out any flavors that might appeal to you. WELCOME!!!

I've been browsing these forums for the last week and finally took the plunge. I'm not sure what to expect but I gotta get off these analogs. Decided to go with VK as well. This subforum seems to have lots of really nice and knowledgeable folks and I'm really axious to give this a try. I just ordered the pass through mini kit to experiment with to see if I can do this. Received confirmation email yesterday.

I smoked hand rolled/Marlboro reds and yet Menthol was the first flavor to get me off cigs AND its my fave for a serious nic fix moment and Steve's Marlboro is sweet, can't wait for Cowboy menthol!!

I am new too and loving the VK! After only one day though I have to say I've developed a strong preference for the manual battery. My first e-cig I used for about a week was auto and I couldn't imagine pushing a button but it's no biggie, second nature almost instantly and like I've read here from many the draw is different with the autos. It's a bit too "airey" for my taste compared to the manual. Don't get me wrong, I can vape the auto, but wanting another manual soon with my next order, which I'll probably place today.

I am guessing they would. Steve usually tosses a few sampler carts in and some sampler juice. That might hold you off depending on how much you vape. Watch Kc's demo on refilling cartos to get an idea on how to refill.

And yeah, the manuals are definately my favorite! Depending on when you ordered, you might give Steve a call and see if he can switch to the manuals for you... ALthough I know he is swamped!

The reason why some don't care for the autos is the airy hit. You can get a really good hit off the automatic, but there is more of a learning curve to it. Read this post for some tips to make your auto work for you until you get your manuals (You know you are going to! lol)

spirit - I think you will be happy with the menthol you ordered. It reminds me of a regular kool long with a hint of mint. It most definitely should satisfy your nic craving. But all the flavors I have tried are good....some are better than others. Cappuccino is simply awesome..I have not tried the coffee yet. If you like fruity flavors...grape is awesome. Anyway glad you decided on the VK...

Kind of off topic but I see you all have smoke free sig that tells money saved. Does that include the difference in what spent on e-sig or just savings based on not buying the chokers?

Just the savings from not buying the chokers. I still have not broke even but I know my ecig costs will amount to about half of what I was spending on analogs.

When you get the banner, the form asks you what you spend per pack. It doesn't ask what vaping is costing.

I am not even close to breaking even, but I've ordered a lot more cartos than I need for weekly use (trying out different flavors). And before I found this subforum and ordered my VK, I had already purchased around 25 or so sample-size bottles of e-liquid, plus extra batteries and atomizers for my other 901 model I had been using. So I'm probably set for at least 6-9 months worth of vaping, maybe more.

I've spent way more than what was strictly needed to replace analogs, just can't help myself.

But I figure the true vaping cost is about half or less of what I was spending on smokes.

You can’t go wrong with Steve and the VK, I have an automatic and well after the first day I figured it out and it is working great. As far as Carts go I went through two my first night well about 5 hours, and I go through a lot still but I have learned to refill them, just watch the videos. Like you after I ordered I thought I did not get enough, so I placed another order, Simple. I am very pleased with my VK. You will be too, just take it east and try different things you will get it.
