So, my experience with e-cigs started with a guy I know from work hanging out with us smokers in the back puffing on this e-cig thing. I asked some questions a couple times, before finally grilling him one day. He turned me on to the site, even let me take a hit off of one of his French Pipe carts. I had needed to quit smoking, somehow, for a while. Got two little boys that I'd like to be able to keep up with when they become athletic, also want to get back in to martial arts myself.... none of which was realistic with a pack a day habit. So, I read up, read reviews including Leaford's, and finally placed an order..

Since then, between the other guy and myself (I have to give him credit since he introduced us all, I think other people were just waiting for someone else to confirm what he told us) three other people from our work place have ordered equipment and begun their e-cig adventures with the V4L products.... it's only been a week!

What I've learned so far is that most users think they needed a different carto strength to start with than what they did. I thought I needed stronger, so I went with 24s, and I've been miserable. Just got some 18s and 11s in tonight, thank goodness.

It's easy to become more hooked on vapor than it is on cigarettes just because you don't have any of the same inhibitions. It doesn't burn (after the first day or two), you don't see the evidence in the ashtray, you don't have to look to see how empty the pack is getting, etc. It's also easier to ween off though since you can simply switch to lower potency carts!

You really won't have any idea what flavors you like until you try them. And since your sense of taste will reinvent itself over the course of the first couple of weeks, you won't really even know then!

Manual vs automatic is totally a matter of preference. I thought I would prefer automatic because it didn't require a hand to operate; as it turns out, I don't like any sort of hard draw and if it's too easy for me to hold in my mouth and have my hands free I will vape non-stop... Great for V4L, terrible for me!

Order the equipment you think you'll want up front. I knew this from other electronics purchases, though, starting off without accessories means you won't be using the product as you would once you've decided to stay with it. And don't let these guys fool you, the batteries and carts can last plenty long ... but make sure you've got extra with you because you're doing this to replace a habit. If you can't vape, you'll smoke!

Cigarette flavors taste like cigarette, not like smoking! The extracts that are used to flavor (I'm assuming here!) are from the tobacco leaves that cigarettes are made with, yes, but smoking has that burnt paper, filtered, fiery aspect to it that the cartos don't simulate. Might want to skip them altogether unless you happen to like pipe/cigar smoke (which I do).

Flavors I've tried, and what I thought:

Grape: Love it.

Watermelon: Lust after it.

Cola: Good, probably be my 'standard vape', though that could change.

Menthol: Not so much, for all that I liked menthol cigarettes.

Strawberry: Could do without it, honest.

Mboro: Not a huge fan.

Kant: Decent tobacco flavor, helped me past a couple cravings, but don't know that I'll order more.

Peanut Butter: Still have a nearly full cart :p Hated it.

Pomegranate: Nope, not so much.

Green Apple: OMG!!WTF!!!PWNT!!! (That's a good thing.)

Green Tea: The jury is out on this, it's a very smooth flavor, will re-evaluate when my taste buds are finally 'normal'.

My sister loves the watermelon and grape too! To me they are just meh....

So funny how different people like different vapes lol!

Glad you are enjoying your new stuff! My sister, aunt and I can't wait to show everyone at the river our vaporkings. We are all bringing extras so people can try them. I will be bringing lots of cards! ;)
