So fed up! Please help someone....

I am so fed up with all this. I started out with a 510. It wasnt "broke", so I dont know why I tried to "fix it". Wanting something more, I purchased an ego-t. I think was the beginning of my issues.

When I first got it, I loved it. I didnt have to keep topping off. I didnt have to carry a gazillion batteries when I went out. And I didnt have to carry a bottle of juice, just a few full tanks. THEN, it happened....Loss of flavor, soon followed by burning mouth and throat upon inhale. And its not a minimal loss of flavor, its so bad, I cant tell what I have in the tanks anymore and its just plain nasty.

So I bought 2.8 ohm clearomizers, thinking, ok, I'll use these with my 900 mah ego batteries and things will be fine. NOPE! I put my favorite juices in them and they dont taste good. To the point, if I had to use just this, I would try to find other flavors.

I got a boge carto (3.0 ohm, she thinks) and filled it with my favorite juice and it was great! The flavor came back, how refreshing for something to actually work like its supposed to. That was until last night. I take, oh I dont know, 20 or so puffs off of this and poof...no flavor!

I am to the point of going back to my 510 and topping off, carrying tons of batteries and bottles of juice with me, but I dont want to.

I absolutely loved my ego-t. Is there a way to fix it? Make it work right? I have done searches and cant find anything. I have type A attys and tanks. I have soaked and cleaned with vodka and iso alcohol...different times, of course. Will type B work better?

If there is no fix for the ego-t tank system, is there a tank system that DOES work, that might be compatible with the ego batteries? I'm getting close to giving up on this whole thing.

I gave up on the tank system. They mute the flavor terribly but I know some people love them. However, you might want to try these out with your ego batteries. They last a long time, produce tons of vapor, and the flavor is fantastic. I'm a carto gal and have gone through my fair share of stuff that isn't up to par...but these are wonderful.

I have been down the same road, only a lot further and spent more money. The only fix is get you some 808d hardware and you will enter a new vaping adventure, and I am really serious. I got so discusted with spending so much money on different products it isn't funny. I ordered a 808d pcc kit and I never knew what I was missing, and just stay with cartomizers maybe fill them a couples times and tossem. This is my opinion after 1000 plus dollars spent on different models.

I'm up to trying anything once, as long as it doesnt cost me an arm and a leg. Put the mega dual cartos on my list of "to trys" as I am getting ready to purchase ONE of a few things to try. I just really loved the tank system :-(

I'm not a fan of the tanks and the clearos. So I can't help you there... However, if you like the 510, but you want better battery life.. Just use the atty on the bigger batty. They should be compatible.

im not a carto person but i hear nothing but positives about dual coil cartomizers (all the same manufacturer) and boge cartomizers. i dont think you can go wrong with either

You vape all VG like me. It was a big problem with the egoT for me too. What I did was get a 510 - 808/901 adapter and use the standard, not boge cartos from liberty flights and haven't gone back. I never thought I'd be a carto person. It's a great warmth and flavour from these things, cheap-ish if you can afford getting a new pack of 5 about once a month if you're a mid vaper like me.

I don't know about you but I found 3ohm boge cartos way too cool. They didn't make enough vapour for them to match up to 2.5ohm. Stepping up the ohms could help.

Sometimes I lose all flavour in my stuff too for no reason and I guess it could be down to the VG coating my throat and tongue. I use really strong flavours when that happens. Perique black is my go to strong flavour when I stop being able to taste my caramel. Mix up your flavours and not to question your oral hygene but mouthwash and brushing your tongue really helps to clear the VG coating.

I got really tired of the tanks wicking vg so slowly and used my old 510 atomisers on my ego while I was looking into other options and for now, for a vg vaper who went through what you went through, I agree with Bwig except keep your ego and save $ on a cheap converter and cheap 808 cartos.

Here's another possibility if you aren't too concerned with looks.

It's a tank that you slide your favorite carto in. They ship with Boge cartos.
Two drawbacks: In order to use your own cartos you need to cut slots in them with a dremel or buy their pre cut cartos. Also, the carto tends to slide past where you want it to stop unless you put an o-ring down near the threads to act as a stop.
After a little screwing around they work great. I use one all the time with my IKV Fusion cartos.

Nope, all pg or 70/30 at the most, for most of them. I try not to use more than that in the tank system. Brushing regularly (tongue too)

I guess what I liked the most about the tank...easy to fill, or top off if running out the door and not wanting half a tank. Is there NO way to resurrect the flavor? And like I said, its not muted flavor...its NO flavor and burning mouth throat

I have never experienced any loss of flavor with my eGo T, type A or type B. To me it tastes almost like dripping.

However, I had been vaping 100% PG. Then, I switched to about 80% PG, 20% VG to eliminate the occasional leaking.The flavor was still OK with that ratio.

I am just guessing, but perhaps those who complain of loss of flavor are using pure VG or close to it.This might gunk up the atomizer since it is so thick.

The PG/VG mix seems to be very important on the T's. It certainly affects the leaking.I read that at least one manufacturer recommends 65%PG/35% VG for the T.

One other note--I like the LR B version better. Easier draw and more vapor. Try this the next time you buy one.

I stuck with Boge cartos all along, have had good, consistent, luck. I use the 2, 2.5, 3, 3.4 ohms, depends on the battery and liquid.

Sometimes you can expect to hit a blech day, where things all taste exceedingly bland. That does happen, is common. I used to have them occur maybe every month or two. I haven't had one of those in a few months, since I settled in on my all-day vape. A lot of people will just switch to a strong menthol, or some juice they perhaps don't like so much, to vape through off days.

(maybe you are hitting a couple of those blech tastebuds days, mixed with some HW issues)

Just went thru some serious cleaning of both my tank attys. Filled with my fav juice and gonna try this again.

I put attys in iso, shook, soaked for about 10 minutes, shook and let soak some more. took out, blew out and put in vodka. shook, soak, shook, soak. took out, blew out and filled tank...and......I CAN TASTE AGAIN! Still burning throat, but its getting better.......

the ego-t works great but does have a few draw backs. the main being what you describe. its really cleaning the atty that is the issue as i believe you discovered. you can soak them in whatever and it will help some but the only way to make them like new is to take them apart and really clean them good. Vicky from Cignot has a really good video on youtube showing how to do this. the other thing you could do is just buy new attys. ive also found the LR attys work a lot better. same with the cartos. i use LR boge cartos now with my ego-t bats but my wife still uses the tanks. you still might want to give the DC ego cartos a try as well. i havent tried them myself but have heard good things and they should hold about as much juice if not more.

Unfortunately some people go through a 'loss of vapor taste phase'. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-maintenance/123897-no-taste.html. Check that link out, there are some good pointers in there. This may be what's happening, if so, persevere, it will pass.

Guess I spoke too soon. Burning throat again. I have a bit of flavor, but not much. So I can expect my attys to last a week before needing replaced. I have two attys that were used 1 week each before this started. I am going to order all my fav juices in 100% pg, or as close as I can get and try again, I guess

Some flavors slag wick quick resulting in flavor loss.

Some flavors shine w/ lesser equipment like FW menthol in PG, LO Black Walnut, DIY Black Pepper, LO Bavarian Creme, PA Pecan, LO Clove, etc.
