Okay been a while since I last posted. Here's an update.

So I got my VK last week. I did not buy it to help to quit smoking analogs but rather to get me through any cravings while at work where smoking is prohibited and if caught meant I would be fired.

Aside from the order being well... quite a bit different than I asked for in the comments section of the order, I've been happy with the product. It may not be there fault for the order not being quite right. I got an e-mail asking what carts I wanted with it and I'm sure that I had typed that in. This kinda suggests to me that nothing in my comment section went through. Probably my fault or something with my browser so not holding it against them.

Here's a rundown of some of the flavors I got and what I thought.
All carts are 16s except for the Vanilla

Coffee - Bit strong. Too much like black coffee for me.
Cappuccino - Pretty good.
RY4 - Best of what I have left but a bit sweet.
Coconut - Not really a coconut fan.
Peanut Butter Cup - Makes me want to drink milk for some reason.
Blueberry - Didn't last long enough. Only had one.
Raspberry - Not quite as good as the blueberry.
Vanilla - Even though was only an 11 was by far my favorite.

I have some flavor juices too but have ruined the 2 carts I tried to refill. I need a better tool for it (got some suggestions?) also need to watch some of those videos again.

All I have left now are the Coffee and RY4s. Looking to place a new order but unfortunately it seems some of what I was looking to buy may not be in stock so looking for suggestions.

Ice Cream? Only comes in 8s? Would def prefer 16s so will probably pass on this.

Pina Colada sounds good? Anyone tried it?

Orange, I want but they only have 0s?

Camel, I smoke Camel Turkish Royals would these be similar?

Vanilla, I'm not even seeing it on their site anymore. This makes me not smile.

How are the Mint, Redcow, and Cola flavors? I assume Redcow is supposed to be like Red Bull?

I just saw the Happy Anniversary post and am excited. I'll probably suffer through the Coffees if I have to until then before I make my next order. Looking forward to getting one of the new short batts, a long manual batt, and hopefully some flavors I will enjoy more.

Can't find an edit button on these forums. Sorry for all the multiple posts.

I just saw this post. A little concerned.... Not allowed to link it.
/forum/vapor4life/42171-little-concerned.

I thank that may have been an issue with some of my carts.
The Raspberry one and the Coconut one did seem a little off. I just tried them again and can confirm. Without even 10 min of Vaping on either one they started off with a burnt taste. Both were 16s. I believe they were extras thrown in with my order so not too worried about it. This is the reason I want to wait til Steve has his new shipment in though.

I am thinking that a long slender nail might help in prying the cap off for refilling. Or if you have a very small screwdriver type tool? Like they use for computers or eyeglasses. Just slowly pry the top off, working around it. Watch some of the videos and see if that helps, it really is easy, but I also ruined a few before I got the hang of it. Good luck and Welcome!

I was using a hooked dental pick which you can grab at most drugstores and some grocery stores. Someone, can't remember who, posted about using a very tiny crochet hook that she picked up from Wal-Mart. I recently ordered these and the hooked (second one from the left of the picture) one in the set is perfect (the guy shipped super quick too) - it has no sharp edges and this reduces the risk of cap annihilation. Several of the others pieces work as well in case you want to have a few for different locations.

Snap on Tools makes a nice mechanic's pick set that might be perfect for this purpose. They are small with handles and comes with 4 different picks. One straight, one L shaped one with a hook like captain hook and I cant remember what the 4th is. I haven't done any refills yet so I don't know for sure if these would work well or not, but after watching the refill video these came to mind for me immediately.

Here's an idea and picture I stole from RyGuy in another thread:

As far as I'm concerned, it's perfect!

tried that too, it needs more of a hook in it so you can pull the cap straight out but otherwise yes :D

Slip the entire hook end through the hole. The tip of the hook will then reach the point where the end cap meets the tube. Pry gently, turn the cart a bit, pry gently again. Slowly work your way around the cart and you will see it begin to lift out of the tube.

Once it's raised a bit all the way around, you can pull it out with no damage.

If that's not clear, go watch the video again. It works great for both VK and GreenCig cartos.

you know, i cant bear to look at those. Every time i go to the dentist to have a tooth pulled, he jams one of those in the angry cavity infested tooth, stabs the nerve a few times, then hooks it at a weak spot, tugs firmly..chunks of tooth fly off, and then he has the brass to ask "does that hurt?"

next time im going to the dentist with vice grips..im gonna grab him somewhere special with them as soon as i'm in the chair, and im going to calmly ask: "Now...we're not going to hurt each other this time are we?"

I use a size 3 (2.10 mm) steel crochet hook. Works perfectly and I have never damaged a plug. I'm a crafter, so I already had a ton of these on hand in various sizes.

On YT I saw a guy who uses a bent paperclip (jumbo size).

As far as flavors, I suggest that you get some small sample sizes in the flavors you like for those times when stock is low. I also love vanilla. I'm trying lots of different flavors and discovered that I am not liking the tobacco flavors as much as I did a month ago. My new favorites are pear, apple, cola, blueberry. Occasionally, I still vape on RY4.

Oh, I also suggest that you get different nic strengths. When I first started I only had the 11mg that came with my 901 kit. It was not enough, and I almost started smoking again before I got higher ones. After a over a month of vaping now (2+ weeks using the Vapor King), I still vape mostly 24mg. As a previous 2 pack/day smoker, guess I just need more nicotine than some. But I do have some 16/18mg cartos and liquid for late-night vaping.

Welcome to the forum, and, BTW, big congratulations on cutting down on the analogs! :)

I also got a crochet hook, it is only 1.50mm and cost $1.00 at Wal-Mart. Works great for me. I just started 3 days ago with my VK and have decided I don't like Kamel carts, the Kant is okay, and Virginia is the best of the three. I thought I'd want something that tasted more like tobacco, but I'm ordering some flavors tonight. With V4L had empty/blank carts so I could just get small bottles of liquid and fill them to try several out.
