So, guys I need some advice

When I mentioned the Air hole TJ I was replying to silly's idea to block the vents in the connection which is hard to do because of how the atty fits in the recessed portion of the head. Im thinking maybe an adapter and drip shield would be a cool addition and possibly help me. Duct tape though, ill keep that as a last resort silly. =P

Ohhh maybe it is the dual coil situation then sailorman, I dont think the cartos are defective because ive tried a couple out of 3 different boxes, and the atty is about the same just better flavor. Ive had friend who tried my tube who still smoke analogs and they think its pretty harsh, i think its waaaaay smooth, too smooth. I need a strong/almost hot TH to be satisfied. Maybe its a "me" thing. I would like to get this hashed out someway though.

Are you having better results with the atty? If so, the key is the carto. With a dual coil, you're not vaping with the same 3ohm coils as you are with the atty. Your vapor will be roughly half as warm as if you had a 3ohm single coil carto.

I get a tighter pull from the cartos but I seem to have to draw much longer, to the point it cuts out. I wish I had a way to tell if something was wrong with the unit or im just in over my head at the moment, and exactly what I want doesnt exist. Its weird how that first kinda crappy pen style gave me a much better TH.

No, the cartos are probably fine. That's just the way they work. My only question is why the atty is about the same. The atty should be much warmer than the carto. Maybe not as much vapor, but definitely warmer.

Is it too "airy" or just too cool? There's a difference and different sets of causes. The coolness may be making it feel airy or vice versa, depending on how you interpret it.

If you have the aluminum Vtube, then the only thing that would be causing this would be a severe voltage drop. You gotta get some 3ohm single coils. If 10watts at 24mg isn't enough, then it IS you.

The atty is definitely warmer but marginally so, the atty is also more airy, I feel if maybe an adapter would seal the connection vents to some degree it would get me closer to where I want to be, if that is a possibility.

Sure wish you would show us what version of the Vtube you have. Is it SS, chrome, or painted? Plastic end caps or metal end caps? The SS & chrome both have the spring loaded center pin & drain holes in the connector.
